Good job. Thanks for keeping our custom rod history alive

Thanks for the response. In my 84 years I have many stories and favorite hotrod and custom icons that I think need to be recorded. So as part of the Old Farts Car Club, I am going to have several video series about all these stories and histories. Please consider subscribing and joining the Old Farts Car Club. If you are on Facebook, The OFCC group page is private. It is the one with the period after the name Old Farts Car Club. I believe we will have members in all the states and we can share cars, parts, stories, and help if needed from the members. Thanks for the responce. Bob Nugent Old Farts Car Club.

I was born in ‘71, and love all the rod and customs from the 50’-60’.s. This is one of my absolute favorites from back then and got a once in a lifetime chance to see it after Murph resurrected it. Can’t wait for more videos to see what’s featured next. And yeah, I vote no Ai voice too. Awesome vintage pics you included. I’ve found quite a few vintage magazines with features thru the history of El Matador too,

Awesome video. Always loved this car and I built a model of it in 1963. Sold it to a guy in kansas City. Wish I still had it.

I fondly remember seeing the Matador at various car in the shows in the late 1961 to early 1963 era. I once dragged ( no pun intended) my parents to I think it was East Orange NJ to a big car show with the Outlaw, the Beatnik Bandit...and the Amazing Matador...it was a total mind trip before the (unfortunate) era of drugs. What a sight! It was the 1940's somehow beamed up into the 21st century!!! My father said something: He said that Only in this country would, or could something like this happen American innovation...and Freedom Hevwas 100% right. And there was the feeling that the custom car movement itself was letting you see of unauthorized glimpses into advancements that "they" hadn't authorized and "they" didnt want you to see.... I remember my girl friend at the time calling the Matador and its paint "luscious" it sure was, it was a Knock Out What great, great memories. Ive been all over the world and been to many snooty concours through the years. But there's never been another Matador. God bless American inovators deciding they can do something better, and without anyone's OK, doing it

I never liked white walls when i was younger but those US royal masters are cool, that is a great car, I would love to see that style and craftsmanship more often these days. I agree lose the AI voice maybe try captions, just a thought, thanks for posting the video

Had several negative responses to the Ai VoiceOver. I hate my own voice so I thought it would be easier to just use the AI voice, but if that detracts from the content, I guess I will not use it again. It you want me to continue with this series, please consider subscribing and I will try to get better at presenting. Scratchy, old voice and all. My next one will be the Little deuce coupe from on The Beach Boys album. Thanks for the response. Bob Nugent Old Farts Car Club

@@Pappy1940 Thanks for responding. The content was great but there is something insulting to listen to a robot explain and mispronounce words. It would be much more interesting to me to listen to a real person, no matter how old, explain the video. It's the real deal, not a bogus voice!

No.1, Ford didn't make a "TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY NINE" V.8. , They did make a "TWO EIGHTY NINE" or "289" c.u. i.n. V8. the back window wasn't only turned upside down it was off something else entirely or scratch built. '40 Fords had a small kinda ovaly shaped rear window...........DUH!!!!!😏
@Pappy19402 күн бұрын
Yeah, I make mistakes. The rear window is a Chevy fleetline turned upside down. I am learning as I go and it sure aiont easy.

A shame that as craftsman saved a piece of custom car history an A.I. voice with all of the passion and soul a machine can offer kills any enjoyment of watching and learning about it.
