Old Fashioned Bread Pudding

Hello Everyone!! This is old fashioned bread pudding that’s very easy to make. Enjoy!!
Old Fashioned Bread Pudding
4 cups White Bread
3 1/2 cups of Milk
1/2 cup Butter
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground Nutmeg
1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
1 tablespoon Vanilla
Pinch of Salt
Bake @350 Degrees For 50-55 Minutes

I know right, This is exactly how my mom Made it. and my Brothers liked raisins and I didn't, so she would take mine out and put it in a separate pan and add raisins For them. I can't believe I found Her recipe. Wow, Mom I will carry on, You will be so proud. Cause now I can make it for your grandchildren. the way you made it.

I made this yesterday and it was so delicious! I doubled up on everything except for the milk and sugar. I taste tested for the sugar. For the milk, I tried to match your consistency. Also, I didn't have nutmeg so I used brown sugar instead. Everyone loved it! Thank you for sharing this delicious recipe!

I used to make bread pudding in a restaurant. We used biscuits for our bread pudding. I left the biscuits in very small pieces. I added other ingredients together & poured over the biscuit pieces. I gently stirred and baked. And I covered with a 10X glaze made with 10X, vanilla, pinch of salt and a bit of milk. Bread pudding is such a treat and great use of stale bread.

Recipe was quite easy, delicious as well as the topping was icing on the cake while I added a bit of rum to the condense milk. Bread pudding was all all eaten off within 3 hours of cooling 😋 Aug/3/24

I’m using a 9x13 baking pan. This sauce is optional. This sauce just give this bread pudding an extra boost and flavor. I can serve mine with or without it ❤️
