Brother-in-law Rich/AC7MA was visiting from WA state and we decided to play radio on Mt Herman for Summits on the Air. Road to trailhead is closed so we went up the long way via the north trail.

Very very nice video again! Thank you for sharing. You got a nice pile up. I am jealous. I can't hike anywhere in this long rain caused by the Autumn rain front and the typhoon. Goo chan is pretty! I am looking forward to next video. de JP1QEC MOT.

love your videos......however......I'm curious....how many times can you activate a summit??? there are a few close ones to me, but according to the rules, you can only activate one same summit per year, with the exception of a winter time activation....I did the backside of what the locals call "C" hill, and Silver HIll, about 10-15 air miles west of there.....easy to get to, and I know two parties who have equipment/radio station sites, and access/permission not difficult at all, cuz I know them....what to do???......AGAIN...... I'd love your videos......the Goats are REALLY COOL.....BTW I worked you the other day on 30M CW.....thanks for being there for us....as I will again I hope b4 the snow flies good in SW Montana.....maybe 3-5 weeks at best.....I'm gonna try......AGAIN.....THANK YOU.......de AB5ZA/7, or AB5ZA/P......EmTech and Elecraft K1's, 3-5 watts, depending on the band......go egt 'em Steve......YES.....

Great question! ...An Activator can activate a SOTA summit as many times as he wants but he only gets the points for a given summit once a year …so for example I activate Mr Herman made 30-40 times a year because it’s practically in my backyard ...well almost (15-min to trailhead and 45-min hike to the summit) but I only get it's 4-points for activating once per year! But there’s much greater rewards besides points like being outdoors, hiking with my goat buddies and working all my chaser friends from atop of a mountain! What’s better than that? Actually making a video of the experience and sharing it on the internet is the next best thing!! Who needs points? ...Hah!
