Love the video. Love Pat. What a star! Not only did he play great with clubs he's never swung before, HE TOOK NO TIME OVER THE BALL! I love this guy. There's a lesson to be learned. All this nonsense with three practice swings and then freezing over the ball. Pat is having none of it. Awesome.

That video had more wisdom to impart than 99.9% of the videos I've seen on youtube. He used the clubs AND the ball to best effect. No fancy backspin, or relying on an aerial game; just taking in the yardage and rolling the ball with the club that did the job. That is golf. Cheers from Canada.

As an old Yorkshireman living in Australia watching OMP yourself and Dick gives me hope with my ever worsening golf game. I realise that the game is more about enjoying yourself and having a good hole now and again is a bonus. I am 69 years young and have been in Australia since 1962. Max Faulkner, he taught my grandad. He was also a member at West chiltington golf course. A course that is no longer around, now used as a vin yard. Pat, absolute hero and credit to golf!

I wish my father was still alive to have moments like this with. He was a PGA pro for 37 years and died at only 64. He shot a 62 from the tips(set course record) at his home course just 2 years before he died, all whilst battling cancer for over a year and a half at the time. I have been watching golf videos on youtube for a very long time, and this has to be the greatest video i have ever watched. It actually teared me up. I have two old boys that i play with twice a year, Mike 75 and Len 79 and this reminds me of them. Its the love of the game and friendships you make thats keeps us going back!!! My golfing hero, was my dads four ball and foursomes partner, the late great Harry McCann. Played off 3 not a great chipper or putter. The ball was terrified of him, so stayed on line. He provided great encouragement and instruction to us juniors, at a time we were supposed to be neither seen or heard, all for nothing but thanks.
