Gustav I was born and raised in a very large city and it seemed like you could not go from one side of town to another without crossing over train tracks, and it always seemed like we would get stuck sitting at them waiting for some long slow train to pass. Your channel takes me back to those simpler times and I'm finding that those days are actually beautiful memories. Thanks.

If scrapping gives you money, than why does it take away your good motive power? Cuz I find scrapping to be the worst idea possible in railroading

Well the issue is not all motive power is good. Or at least it's not economic to make it good again. Would you get more money for the scrap value or lose money on a major rebuild. Throw on top of that ever tightening emissions and environmental restrictions and many class ones just want to wash there hand of older power as quickly as they can.
