Stuck in the UK so nice to watch the place I had my first DVC stay.... only thing I don’t like about OKW is some rooms are noisy- particularly the ones near roundabouts that buses go around.

We once had a room at the edge of the resort by the main road AND a roundabout so that was a bit loud. We still love the size of the rooms so we just request other buildings 😁

The only thing stopping me from staying at OKW is that we can’t book a “preferred” location room. We don’t have a car when we go, and that resort is huge! All the other resorts let you book a closer room as a separate category. I wonder why not at OKW?? Great rooms though and Olivia’s!!

There is the room category "Near Hospitality House" which is guaranteed close to the front 😊

What I like about these rooms is they feel more relaxed and homey. Like you can walk in with wet shoes whereas a lot of others, I want to removed my shoes before walking on the floors.

OKW has reportedly the largest rooms in WDW. This is great info for when you're traveling with a group. For example. I am currently saving for a DVC contract in AKV, but if I'm treating a small group of friends to a WDW trip, I'd be smarter to book a one-bedroom at OKW than AKV for the extra space.

These are the 2 resorts I am deciding between right now for a trip this year with 5 of us. We LOVE old key west but that second bathroom in Kidani has me leaning toward AKV

What are your thoughts on transportation to the parks? We rented DVC points and stayed at the poly last year and it was great for Epcot and MK. I did find the room small for a fam of 5 (1 a teenager bigger than me) there was no where to put suitcases.

It does take longer to wait for a bus at this resort, but there are several Disney resorts that have multiple bus stops around them. They usually run a good amount of buses which is nice, but ultimately you just have to know it’s going to take time to get to and from the parks because of all the stops.

It's definitely not easy pulling luggage up the stairs. They try to ask if you need a lower floor when you check in, but it's best to request a building with an elevator if you need one or a lower floor ahead of time.

We love OKW! Did they remove the decorative couch pillows because of covid? 🤔

We actually went to the front and asked as soon as we saw the pillows missing! They have been removed (across property at all resorts) temporarily because of the cleaning procedures. They still have them in storage and they hope to be able to bring them back one day (and we hope so too)! 😊
