Fantastic work up there, loving the jumps up top! Good to have some decent jumps/drops to hit so close to Glasgow. Ah ok, yeah I was riding until 5:30 on Thursday then a couple of my friends stayed until later on. Were you on the DH bike by any chance?

Yeah, a blue and white Glory. Overkill for up there, but don't fancy the bigger stuff lower down on the HT

Yeah, it's fun. The Forestry Commission have asked to meet us soon, to discuss the trail, so we're all a bit worried that they are going to give us some bad news.

David Mckinnon Hope it all goes well then, there is so much potential up that way for trails as well. Hopefully they will be supportive, there isn't much else in the way of downhill near Glasgow and it's so well built.

I wouldn't get too excited. The FC will not be building trails up there. Anything that appears will be done covertly by riders. I think they are going to object to some of the newer jumps, personally. Hopefully it won't be too bad

David Mckinnon Yeah I wouldn't expect them to be building anything. Is that the jumps around the tabletop up top? Would be a shame if anything had to go.

I grew up there, I took my bike up there once in the late 70's and the farmer chased me and my pal off before I had even reached the Gavinburn Cottages gate. Older and wiser I see why. I've walked up there in recent years and a lot of the cyclists have no respect for the land or for walkers - by that I mean coming down the track at break neck speeds behind you with no warning and not slowing down, bad for an old deafy like me. It would only have taken a side step to avoid a cow pat and there would be a collision and injuries for both. Your vid shows that same behaviour the way you're passing walkers. As much as I love cycling as well as hillwalking, these hills are not for this sport. At the risk of being called an old fart, that's my opinion. What's the farmers take on riding up there these days since it is his their land, their livestock and land at risk?
