It’s difficult supporting Black businesses when the food is substandard, atmosphere unfriendly and cost are too high. Basic economics, keep the cost reasonable, more will come and profits increase. $40 for food served on a dirty plate + paying for parking is ridiculous! Great review!!!

I’m from Dallas and we visited during the falcon and cowboys game. The seating was horrible! We wind up sitting at the bar because we waited over an hr to be seated. The deviled eggs was really good. The salmon was good too. He got the chicken and waffles and he liked it. Shrimp and grits was the bomb. We drank waters and our bill was 60. A bit high i think. O yeah. The lot was full but it was some guy outside hustling to watch your car in a no parking zone for 20 bucks but we gave him 10. So 70 bucks for the experience. She need a bigger spot with free parking

Hey I was visiting from Richmond on Thursday. I agree with you about everything. I had salmon with greens and sweet potatoes and my daugther had fried chicken with green beans and Mac and cheese. We both loved the greens but didn’t care for the green beans. In fact, I had to share my greens with her because she didn’t like it and I didn’t want to switch with her. I love fried chicken but her wings (we paid for all white) weren’t nothing to write home about. Salmon was good though. I had the southern charm (2) drinks. It was good but the second drink was better than the first. Overall, I didn’t care for the food and I hated that I paid over $80 for me and my 11yr old. Sucked that they didn’t have a kids menu. But I would definitely go again. Why? Because I love Kandi and the atmosphere was everything. Waiter and staff were nice. Aunt Bertha was icing on the cake!!! She was so sweet. I really want to go back to experience the night life.

Hey Justin! I visited my bff in Atlanta last weekend and we had the pleasure of going to OLG! Your review was spot on the seating is very tight, the chicken was okay the greens to me were very sweet but the macaroni was very good. We didn’t order a drink and I’m glad we didn’t per your review. I give them a C- next time I visit Atlanta I will go back but order the shrimp and grits. Our waitress was very attentive I forgot her name but she was amazing! Don Juan was there when I visited didn’t get a picture he was acting like he was very busy🤔

My husband and I had a horrible experience!!! And they wanted us to pay 10 bucks to park we said no so we parked on the street! Idk if i will ever go back and yes the seats were so close and tight!! Great review! I agree, seating is too crowded. MacNCheese is the bomb! Shrimp and grits was great when we went. Did you like the cornbread? That cornbread with the little honey or whatever was good. Looking forward to a follow up review from your next visit.

Lordt this was funntie! 2 years later, I was there over the weekend and his statement of "maybe y'all saving the seasoning for the weekend" is fucking comedy BECAUSE my boyfriend had a burger that he says he was bitting into seasoning thats how heavy handed they were. Ms Asia brung his burger without the fries and stated that they were waiting on fresh fries 😲. I had sides the Cabbage and Spinach The Cabbage was a bit heavy on the seasoning but not unbearable but the Spinach was awesome 😋 Our arrival greeting was Blah the hostess wasn't inviting at all. I didn't mind the 30 minute wait to be seated, but once we were seated Asia our waitress and another employee argued about who was going to take our drink order... Then we waited another 30 or so minutes to get the food, as I stated before his burger had no fries and she also didn't bring anything to eat with. It was my birthday weekend so I had great expectations for this placs and they definitely failed in creating an atmosphere and experience. Would I give it another try yes, for the Spinach but I would rather support people businesses whom take more pride in their company and not just off of their celebrity status.

I went with a group of friends. I had the devilish eggs, the mama joyce punch, the lamb chops, the fried catfish, the mac & cheese and the greens. The devilish eggs were okay. I thought they were kinda spicy. The lamb chops were really good. I thought the pineapple and the glaze was a nice touch. The fried catfish was nothing to write home about, but I would order it again. The mac and cheese were my favorite, but the portion was too small. I spent about $45. RHOA makes the restaurant look bigger than it really is. I couldn't believe how cramped it was, but they played the best music!

Kfc doesn't deep fry their Original recipe, they pressure cook it and that's why it's not as crisp as Popeye's or Church's. Glad the sides were good.

Unless you're going to have the carpet cleaned/shampooed frequently, don't have carpet in your establishment, especially not a restaurant! It holds odors. That's one of the main reasons why I stopped going to IHOP restaurants.

Hey Justin, I went in ApriI a few days after I saw this review. I drove there from Bham,AL.. I didn't order any alcoholic drinks. They seemed like something you could find at Logan's. My appetizer was the BBQ ribs which I did not like. They didn't taste fresh. IDk if it was the sauce but Ive had better ribs from chain restaurants. My friend liked them though. I know what Justin means when he says that chicken had that "lamp" taste based off of the ribs. The deviled eggs were tasty and different. . I tried the Ribeye with green beans and mashed potatoes which is funny bc I requested diff sides but I rolled with it. The green Beans were spectacular. Ribeye delicious but I didn't care for the sweet garnishes and mashed potatoes were typical good southern mashed potatoes. The cornbread is small but tasteful. The temperature was questionable on some of the food. I agree with Justins review completely especially regarding the spacing; However my server didn't seem like she wanted to be there. She was polite but she became evasive throughout the meal. but We had a nice welcome when we first entered. It was a Wednesday around 2ish pm and it wasn't busy at all and alot of the staff were standing around conversing.Todd's Daughter came in for takeout food that day. I believe I spent 45$ for the ribs and ribeye meal. I am a wider girl so I found the chairs to be extremely uncomfortable. Kandi please get some better chairs asap. They almost ruined my experience. I would still give them a generous A bc the ribeye meal was really was good and it was a nice atmosphere. I will go back and order something different but only if I have coins to spare.. Again I agree with Justins review completely.

Thanks Justin J! I have been meaning to go to OLG but had not made it yet. Maybe I'll wait until they get some better reviews. Places I like to go to eat in Atlanta area are: BQE, The Consulate, Chops, Carroll Street Cafe, Queen of Sheba, and so many others. The best chicken outside of Busy Bee's is the Colonnade. Their fried chicken is the bomb! Go there Justin! I promise u! Don't judge the place by all the elderly people there just know they know where the good food is. It's across from Onyx. Honorable mention hood spot: Wats Crackin (seafood)

I went there in February and I was confused to why I had to pay $10 to park in the back. I first though it was a scam. When I went in the inside the staff was nice and friendly. The chicken,Mac and cheese, and greens was good that night. They sat me in the front by the bar and the tables are wayyyyyy to close to each other. I did think the food was a little pricey especially for that small amount of Mac and cheese and greens you get. Overall I might give it another shot the next time I go to ATL

I’ve been to OLG three times and I get the same thing, the Bertha (chicken and French toast), the serving size is perfect and it taste great. I agree the parking situation is horrible 👎🏽 and the seating is tight. I live in Suwanee so it’s a long drive but I’ll definitely be back. Try again on the weekend, I hear they have live music on Friday nights

I went there Sunday. Aunt Bertha open the doors with a waitress and she greeted us in the most humbling way. Since we had a party of 5, we had to sit down stairs by the bar. I didn’t like the park benches but overall the food was amazing😫 the Mac & Cheese was the best part . Next time you go try Aunt Bertha Hotwings on the appetizer. The price for a steak was $28🙄 extremely way too pricey but other than that It was pretty good. The staff was so sweet & respectful. I gave my waiter an $10 tip

I went there a year ago I had the same thing you had the chicken was bland the greens were bland , and the macaroni and cheese was good with some salt and pepper. The one thing I did enjoy was the cornbread and the dipping sauce. the sauce was more watery than regular sauce, but it was good.
