This channel is amazing! A lot of money has been spent modifying this Defender. The rear canopy is made by an Australian company called ARB. The Land Rover community is so strong that you’ll never be alone when you travel. The only problem I have with these cars is that they tend to be underpowered, which means the engines have to work incredibly hard to carry all the extra weight which puts a lot more wear and tear on the components which makes them break down more often than your average Japanese off roader. I look forward to the test drive and I hope that you will do a video on the 70s Series Land Cruiser! Thank you for another amazing video!

Thank you elder. People really spend lots of money on these cars here, most for off-roading. The Land Rover community is one big and strong one and ARB has become very popular mostly on steel bumpers for most Toyota pickups, Land Cruiser and Land Rover they lead. This specific rear canopy is proudly done here in Namibia by an engineering company called Oryx Aluminium Canopies are doing pretty well ( check them out www.oryxalu.com/oryxaluminiumcustomcampers.html) The problem is when you have a 5 cylinder Diesel engine with a maximum power of (120 bhp - 90 kW) at 4200 rpm and a maximum torque of 300 Nm, that’s less than my small 18 years old car which has 120kW. When you add too much weight it strain. Most people prefer the 3.5L V8 engine, it’s has a little bit of more power than the 2.5L and 2.2 L. Japanese cars have a reputation here in Africa. They’ve done well for this environment. I was very lucky to drive a 70s series for over a 1200km is one day. The V8 engine is a bit thirsty and not too comfortable on tarred road, it’s has a lots of talk and it’s good for off-roading. It’s also much faster than most of competitors. Surely the 70s series on high on the list of my test drives. Thank you 🙏🏾 for always coming by
