With going smaller in injector hole size, is there any concern for damage to the p7100 plunger? When I first got into these 12vs (2007), I was always told going too small on the DV or the injector could result in pump damage due to excessive pressure. Never knew if that was true or just a rumor.

Im curious how this plays into VE pumps where the fuel pressure is much more limited due to the seals in the pump.

I have a 175 pump truck with a fass 140 gph. Just doing that, I felt a good increase in power. Maybe just had a worn out lift pump couldn’t tell you. Now I’m upping the line pressure with a tork tek 50 ofv. Excited to see what a 180 will do with 024s and ecos or stage 1s. Would be nice to hear your expectations of what the small cam flat top plunger pumps can do after your 180 pump testing. Thank you

I think it was injection line pressure. Should be able to trace an injection event.

I have your pilot hole stage 3s, 024 dvs and s362/68 with s475 and smaller 1.15 housing. Constant black smoke haze on the highway over 1800ish rpm. Turbos spool instant and make 65 psi pretty easy. My injectors too big? Do i need more timing? Im at 21 degrees. Stock 180 pump, ddp 3k springs, ddp afc spring. Looking to make similar power and minimal to no smoke. The highway haze is annoying

I got a 92 all stock ve with cranked pump and 4” exhaust made 430rwhp 1025tq with the 54lpm power jets and a 57mm s300g. Exact same settings but with an sxe364 and ddp4’s I made 450hp 1135tq. That is a lot more fuel and air for not much power. I wanted to try more timing but have to skip a tooth to test that and haven’t had the chance yet. Also I wanted to keep it like most basically tuned stock trucks so I have hard data I can give to people for modifying their own truck with basic bolt ons. The ddp4s run like 200deg less egt pulling heavy though where I am running like 30 psi for many minutes.

I am subscribed to you channel for a couple of months now. Not getting notices of new content. Weather permitting I am going to have my truck up and running soon. THD VE. (Not the race pump.) DAP 62/64 turbo. 3200 spring. Have the factory '93 injectors in it with the DDP Stage III nozzles in the box. I did jump a tooth when installing the VE. I am not familiar with DDP4's. Not seeing them listed. Are these some older injectors? Also is the Powerjet really DDP nozzles? I have a Carquest (Carter) 98.5 pump and in tank assembly that does 18psi.

So my 2yo stage 3s with pilot holes, 024s, 175 pump with 4ks, 024s, rack plug, #6 plate Attitude Adjuster, 63/67/12 HX35 (Ram Brake still intact). Made 540whp, 1153 ft-lbs 2 summers ago at Flying Wrench Services. Runs fairly clean but can certainly spike EGTs and makes 56 psi WOT with springate set as soft as possible. You guys going to do a trade in program eventually to upgrade older nozzle designs for this new stuff?

I have 2 sets of your Stage III nozzles. I took advantage of your sale of refurbishing my Bosch cores. THD IP have 4" exhaust to install 62/64 HX35 from DAP. At this point do you think what you are learning here will filter down to the VE trucks? I would be very interested in that.
