Protip: while gliding you can land inside the Reality Tree's tree top, there's a whole "platform" up there formed by its broad branches, with several treasure chests. You can then jump on the glowy mushrooms on the branches, those will boost you up and you can use your glider again, the updraft around the big tree is a good way to fly further. You can also use the geysers dotted around the map to boost yourself up, or use grapplehook gloves or bounce grenades to catapult yourself around without taking fall damage. Otherwise, if you jump off a cliff you will die to fall damage. THere are caves full of loots below/behind the waterfalls near the Reality Tree... the "reality falls".

There _is_ an Indiana Jones themed jungle temple on the map this season, near the Joneses location, complete with puzzle to open the inner chamber, a rolling boulder that will smush you, poison traps etc. But NerdCubed was at the other big temple, the orange one near the volcano. Most of the quests to unlock the Indiana Jones special skin in the battle pass revolve around that Indiana Jones temple, like finding an artifact from Raiders of the Lost Ark and placing it there, doing the whole mirror puzzle etc. but you only get access to those quests if you have the battle pass. Otherwise you can still find the runes to open the inner chamber though, they change every match.

You get gold from treasure chests, from killing enemy players, from bounties (even if someone else kills your bounty you get the gold and it counts for quests), but also from destroying couches and beds (so keep pickaxing those couches!), or finding one of the rare money strongboxes that can randomly spawn inside buildings but need several seconds to unlock.

You can jump while swimming to do the "dolphin" and chain that to swim much faster. also, swimming in river with the current is very fast, swimming against the current slows you down, so jumping while swimming will help you avoid a counter-current while you are airborne... but really if the river is going in the wrong direction, it's better to get out and run.

44:56 I was literally screaming at the screen when NerdCubed found one of the rare glitched vending machines that give you tons of random items FOR CHEAP (it used to be for free until last season), up to Exotic weapons and Legendary weapons... and he said, "No, i don't want a random item" and walked away. You fool! ohmygod...
@TF2CrunchyFrog2 жыл бұрын
Tip: Go into your game Settings, there's an option to "auto-sort healing items to the right-most slot". There's also the option to set an auto-sort into specific slots for weapons, but it's IMO shit, because if you decide on a difference sequence during a match it would then forcefully change that to the set sequence whenever you pick up a new weapon ,or drop one to pick up a heal item and then pick up the weapon again... I much prefer to just use open my inventory with "I" and sort the weapons the way I want to by hand, that doesnt take long.

It is sad how much of a sold out piece of garbage fortnite is now. It used to be so much fun because it didn't take itself seriously, but now it does. The ridiculous shopping cart, golf cart and rocket bike vehicle options used to be ridiculous in a genius way, but now the game feels ridiculous in just a bad way. The merging of so many universes just corrupting any chance of the game having a coherent story. It's a shame, they don't even have alliteration in their names anymore. "Tilted towers, moisty mire, salty springs, dusty divot" are now replaced with"reality falls". What a shame, I used to play this game all the time.
@TF2CrunchyFrog2 жыл бұрын
You are whining about alliteration, really? When that was one of the dumbest things in Fortnite? You really have problems in your life if that is what you fixate on. "Reality Falls" is because it's the waterfalls at the Reality Tree. There. And if you actually had taken a second to look at the map and could read, you'd see that "Tilted Towers" does exist again on the Chapter 3 Island map, at the shores of Lazy Lake. Dusty Divot (the crater) in Chapter 1 was itself a later iteration of Dusty Depot, which was a shit place to land back in Chapter 1, but hey, for some reason people like you fixated on it out of nostalgia for those veryfirst 3 seasons when the map was mostly empty, so Epic brought the depot back in Season X, and then in Chapter 2 Season 5 (in the Zero Point desert), and another reality shifted version of the despot deep inside the Reality Bloom zone in Chapter 3 Season 3.

29:57 I almost felt physical pain when NerdCubed could identify all those crossover collab characters from other franchises (like the Dragonball skins, Harley Quinn etc), but didn't know the actual Fortnite Lore-related characters like 29:25 Vendetta, 29:35 Drift, or 29:57 Shadow Midas (the purple-glowing, insane Storm-corrupted Chapter 2 Season 4 version of Chapter 2 Season 2's spymaster/mastermind Midas) beating at the Scientist of the Seven (the chunky guy in the power armor). Granted, whoever used the Shadow Midas skin had stuck a red Superman cape on him, a terrible fashion crime. But no, those two were actually _not_ Marvel or DC characters but really important characters from Fortnite's metaplot Lore.

I mean, NerdCubed has the Downpour victory umbrella from Chapter 2 Season 1 ("A New World" season) in late 2019. So he must've played Fortnite before, right? That was also the superlong season that had both Halloween and the Winterfest 2019 in it, both of which offered free skins and items you could unlock for free during the holiday events, so why is he using a default skin?

When NerdCubed was in the lagoon but ignored _every goddamn motorboat_ there was at various jetties by always _not_ looking what was at the end of the jetty and instead running past it, instead of wondering if there might be boats to drive, that was frustrating. TAKE A DAMN MOTORBOAT ALREADY! He was so incredibly lucky not to have encountered one of the deadly 1000 HP loot sharks that spawn in the lagoon and in lakes and can even launch themselves onto dry land by jumping and will crash through builds like butter and eat you whole.

Darth Vader is even an enemy Boss NPC on the map this season. He and several Stormtroopers will land with their tie-fighter at one of the Star Wars outposts on the map each match. (Except in Team Rumble mode.) If you defeat him, he drops his mythic tier Lightsaber weapon, which can be thrown (and it comes back) or used as a special melee weapon that allows you to dodge and even parry projectiles. But Vader is one of the hardest Boss NPCs the game has had so far, harder even than Dr. Slone (who could triple herself) or the teleporting Huntmaster Saber. I think only Wolverine during the Marvel season in Chapter 2 Season 4 was harder. Iron Man and Doctor Doom Boss NPCs in Ch2S4 were a pieceof cake compared to Wolverine.

_FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, YOU YOUR DAMN PICKAXE TO BREAK WALLS!!! IT'S FASTER THAN SHOOTING, MAKES LESS NOISE, YOU DON'T HAVE TO RELOAD, AND YOU GET MATERIALS!_ (Okay, materials are less useful in Zero Build, but in build mode you need it to build and stoking a campfire for more healing output uses up wood.) Instead he pickaxes a wall once, decides "this takes to much time" and starts shooting a wall with his shotgun and takes like 10 shots to break it, wasting ammo. _sigh_ different materials take diff times to break them. Pickaxing a chair or bush or sofa takes only one hit. Metall walls take more. And you can simply edit a port-a-fort's walls to make a door. Also, it has a door initially.
@TF2CrunchyFrog2 жыл бұрын
And half the time he runs past ammo without picking it up. Or runs past a blue-tier or purple-tier weapon when he only has a shitty green one
