"I guarantee it, maybe" 😂😂 love it. A very slick and thrifty repair. I'm really enjoying the "Old Spence" series. You two have skills.

Wow - I’ve been fixing old Mercs for like 25 years now, but I have never seen this fix before 😮 Amazing ❤ Thx a million 🙏

The vice-grip seems like the perfect tool (at hand) for consistent and incremental crimping. And to use the pressure tank was very clever. Nice job :)

So easy in todays world to just ‘buy new’. It’s so satisfying to repair something, even if maybe not a long term fix it can give you time.

To think of it you could see we were having a little fun tackling the problem. :-)

That was a good one. That's "practical workmanship" you don't learn as a "car mechatronic" any longer anywhere. Except in Africa, Pakistan or India probably, where they cannot afford to use the parts cannon and throw out everything. Thanks for showing !

I like the " I guarantee it, maybe". Yea never know recrimping the core to the tank may turn into a permanent repair. I would drive the car and really scrutinize that area, and if no leaks reappear, I would call it good. I mean why replace something that doesn't leak. Save some $$$, plus new parts can be faulty as well. Thanks for the Video

This is cool repair tip, would've save me money in 2003 when my 1990 Mazda 323 radiator failed this same way. It leaked so bad, steam raised under the hood in traffic lights. I guess just by luck it didn't blow the head gasket.

Interesting, I thought I recalled that you'd be getting the car to a state where you could sell it to someone willing to put the time & effort (and money!) into it but now you may be getting attached and decide to restore it yourself? Hmmmm. We'll keep watching!

Amazing, it just needed a little bit of crimping, who would've known XD
