Old metal saw - RESTORATION

Hi folks,
In this video you will see a restoration of an old metal saw. I got this rusty saw from Jimmy. This saw is very useful for my workshop. Working on it was a real pain in the &§#. Didn‘t find enough time to work on it…but the result is good. We are doing things like rust removing, painting and some other satisfying work steps. We used super glue (epoxy) again - awesome!

Don't focus on time, focus on contents. Sometime 4 minutes videos are boring, sometime 20 minutes fly by

Suggestion: If you're going to be using this on your shop you might want to change those nuts out for wing nuts. I'd help out when you're in the middle of something and want to flip over the blade. Also looks like you should have just let that handle soak on the oil as much as it soaked if it so fast. Just my thoughts Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up

That is wonderful to see your dad's saw restored! I understand how you feel. It's somewhat like me watching Vic in Big Vics Workshop restoring the H.K.Porter typeR pole cutter that I'm holding in my picture. I told him what a great job he did restoring it. I even showed him where it was made and some of the H.K.P. tools I've restored. He then shocked me and said if I sent him my address he would sent it to me!!! I did because I had been looking for one because my dad used to have one that was lost! I felt like a Kid at Christmas when I got it!

I'd never before seen a saw like this one... I wonder if it was made from scratch by a skilled man? My only criticism of your work is that you filed the wing-nut to clean it when you could have sand-blasted it and kept the rough finish. And you painted it red... Don't you realise that if you put it down next to the red vice you may never find it again?

For me runtime depends on the size of the project, but I don’t like to invest more than 25 minutes.

I would say between 10 15 minutes, you'll get more clicks if the video is shorter.
