St Leonards Parish Church buillt by Bishop Langley in 1412 (AKA
Cardinal Langley) giving his name to a grammar school and one of
Manchester's largest council estates. It towers over the historic Ye
Old Boars Head, a Tudor coaching Inn reputed to be haunted and visited
by Dick Turpin on his travels. Dating back to approximatey 1582 and
survivng the great flood of 1828.
