It IS a great place to live! I moved here a year 1/2 ago. My apartment is abt 1/4 or less from the beach.. I'am a Senior ctzn now w/out transportation. Getting around is VERY expensive. Taking the transit is the best way to get around for the locals if one does not have a vehicle. ......and then there is GO GO GRANDPARENTS (Uber) and Lyft. VERY EXPENSIVE! Somehow I manage to get around quite well. The purse gets lighter -haha, In spite of these things, I LOVE IT HERE and no plans to go back. I like the winters in New England, I chose to live here and here the roots are growing. Hummmmm, I think I'll go to the beach today, water must still be cold however, that won't stop me from taking a dip. I love the ocean, it's my time to lay back in my cabana and just Chill.

I am glad you are enjoying this place! Not too over-crowded in summer?

Pretty little town! I bet it’s very snowy in the winter. I actually read a nonfiction book that takes place partly in Old Orchard Beach. It’s called “Nickeled and Dimed,” by Barbara Ehrenreich. It’s an interesting read.

Thanks for watching and commenting again Drew ! Yes it's snowy, the can get coastal storms, but there probably have not as much snow as Québec City, where I live. I think their weather is fairly influenced by the maritime air. This is probably moderating the tempratures all year long.

@@FreewayFranks They get a lot some years and not much others. they can get over 100 inches (254cm) in some of the worst years, while other years they see well under 50 inches. (127cm). It all depends on how many coastal storms.

Looks like a very neat small town! I love the flags at 2:48 :) Great production

Thanks for watching! As I said in the video, the main advantage of Old Orchard Beach is it's fairly close for the people of Québec to get a beach experience with, at the same time, lower hotel prices compared to other beach towns along the East Coast.

Cool video. Last time I have been to Old Orchard Beach was in 2012. It's a nice little town that is well worth a visit in summer.

Absolutely! It's is probably not excessively crowded like some cities along the east coast. Thanks for commenting.

Salut Annie & Luc! Oui, il vaut la peine de s'y attarder. C'est une jolie petite ville balnéaire d'environs 10 000 habitants à quelque heures au sud du Québec. Vous m'en donnerez des nouvelles. Bonne journée!

Have such good memories of this place as a kid. To bad the last couple summers our family went, locals were no longer very welcoming of french canadians.

I can't tell, but it's a nice place to visit as a tourist. Looks quiet, clean and safe...pretty similar to Canada.

Would look probably ''mild'' for us, Canadians lol
