thanks for the history, those old Aussies were tough and worked hard, risked there lives providing Melbourne fish markets with beautiful fresh fish, many hand build there own boats with no training, just Aussie nouce and skill thank you

Garry, did you notice the knives used by the guys cutting bait? They liked the old shearers shears. Good steel they said. Made a few for some young fishos about 9 years ago in a blacksmith shop in Williamstown. Thanks for posting Hard to get a story out of some blokes.

Great shots of Deal my father Fred Robinson worked the Marjorie Maud his father FJ T Robinson and my other grandfather Jack Urquhart worked her good little clip of her stern I have a lot of snaps of her’. They sold her about 1954 and had Eva built by Bulls at Metung Fred worked Eva till 1966 she went to Kangaroo island was renamed Bornholm she sank off Kangaroo island I recognise some of the boats and recall being part of the crowd at launch of Neptune Hello to Peter Slate fond memories Mark Robinson

Hi Mark, that name is familiar. Are They and presumably your brother (Ainsley?) Buried at the cemetery by the river just out of Alberton?
