The human god characters might have worked better if they were like special summon characters for the dinosaurs or something like that -- but the dinosaurs are still the focus. Maybe the meter to summon them is built up by eating/killing the humans in the background as "sacrifices" to them.

when i played this at an arcade; years and years ago. the default character select screen was only humans. there might have been a time clock or some kind of unlock feature; that over time were able to only select a couple dinosaurs . this game was only at the arcade for about a month or 2 ; then was never seen again. people in the past telling me the game never existed LOL. yeah right. i played it a bunch of times; before it went away.

It was a cancelled sequel unfortunately. There’s only 1 cabinet in existence and I think it’s in Chicago or one of the big cities. It was a testing cabinet so not even 1.0 yet. Thankfully it survived the years and was preserved and uploaded online for us to play!

Gorgon would be yellow with spikes that were grey. Chaos’s apprentice:A giant praying mantis named Decay. Decay would have been dark purple with teal “eyes”. Vertigos apprentice:A suchomimus named Dementia. Dementia would have been light grey with red and green spirals on his body. Diablos apprentice:A dilophosaurus named Lucifer. Because the ppl at WB/NR didnt want competition. And at the time that this was big the only other game out that could rival it was MK. To make a long story short the bosses at WB shat on this game so hard so it wouldn't get released.

JOHNNY Walker Necrosan is cool looking though maybe change his name. Steal a dragon name from another universe. Like the idea of Diablo changing over to a Carnotaurus. Should add some more dinosaurs, or even some weirder mammals. keeping Vertigo, and Aramdon hybrids is a better idea. Snake mutant spitter Dinosaur, and a Styracoankylosaurus Add a Tharizinosaurus with its birdlike appearance, and giant scythe like claws make it a natural choice. Add a Wooly Rhino and Megatherium mix for Slashclaw to fight. You need a Baryonyx like theropod or a Spinosaurus. Make a crazy looking giant Stygimoch Stegosaurus that parallels Armadon. Add maybe an undead Mammoth Wendigo monster. Definitely a lot of potential. Maybe make a Dilophosaurus like dinosaur with an acid or electric attack. Add another Raptor with some form of weird magic powers.

It's really cool to see this for anyone who has read the Avatars book, but man, the giant humans thing just seems bizarre and out of place. Why not just have them transform into their god form at the beginning of the match or something? Having them as giants doesn't even make sense in the context of the book. Also the music is really strange at times. I like the creativity of this game but I can see why it got canned.

I'm surprised at the lack of Cr.LF. That normal has insane reach and can lead into stuff. With that said, I feel like Sauron has the best ground throw just because AFAIK it's the only throw in the game that can combo from it. Hyper Attack(If you wanna call it that. I prefer Launcher since that's what it is.) I feel more than makes up for Sauron losing Primal Scream in this game. The Aerial version being able to combo into an Air Throw is also a big boon and was probably to make up for Earthquake Stomp's nerfs. Anyways, pardon my rambles. Just me talking about my main. Your work on making this(sadly) unreleased game has not gone to waste.

Yeah I am not really a Sauron main, my main is Vertigo but I just felt Sauron was a good choice for something quick. crouching LF is very useful but I rarely use it since I usually can't get into any combo after it. That and also I am using a controller instead of a keyboard which I usually use, so I am still getting used to it which is also why I didn't use many lows other than in jumps. Yeah Sauron's throw is one best throw for sure. Very fast on start compared to other characters and the ability to juggle is also great although I couldn't seem to connect the hyper attack against Tor or Xiao Ming as you can see in the video. I actually would've loved having Primal Scream in this game since it could mean more combo juggling especially with a hyper attack and a cranium crusher. Also rambling isn't something I mind, I usually ramble on too, if you usually see a post by me its almost always TLDR territory of rambling lol. Anyways glad you're enjoying the game, seeing everyone enjoying the game makes me glad that I got this game working.

At max spacing, you don't get much from Cr.LF, but it does give you an opportunity to put added pressure with Stun Roar or Earthquake Stomp. Midrange, you typically get Cr.LF, St.LP xxxx Stun Roar. Sauron also moves back a few pixels at the end of the move, so if nothing, CR.LF is mainly there to make people respect his footsies game. Personally, I feel like Sauron's a bit of a Shoto/Grappler hybrid. Having a fireball as an extension to his ground pokes, Anti-Airs in Cranium Crusher and Hyper Attack, trading Tatsu for a solid throw game, the works. Xiao Ming's a timing thing.You have to buffer Hyper Attack from the grab to land the Cranium Crusher afterward. Tor is mainly a case of his hurt boxes when thrown being wonky. As for the game itself, it makes me sad this game never officially came out and Atari's idea of compensating was a frickin' novel. The development team looked like they actually sat down and tried to make this an actual fighter(For example, changing the old Special Move input to traditional SF ones, among other things.), but eh. The fact that this is playable in 2017 is more than enough.

1) Different Atari. The Atari that made this game and th original Primal Rage was called Atari Games. They were a whole seperate company from Atari Corp which are the ones who released the Jaguar. Remember, when Warner sold Atari in 1984, it was split into 2 companies. Atari Corp and Atari Games. Atari Games was owned by Namco then in 1986 the employees bought Namco's share out to make it a seperate company. Atari Corp was owned by Jack Traimel who was kicked out of Commodore in 1984. 2) By the time this came out the Jag was DEAD in th water, nothing could have saved it.
