I’m still in awe that playing this is a reality. EXCELLENT FUCKING WORK! And the thing is....it’s a really good game! I hate that is never officially saw a real release. A series reboot would be so cool, right now.

Thanks! To be honest I am in awe too since when I first saw this game and saw it didn't work in MAME I never saw myself being the one to fix and it still blows my mind that I was able to get it running. Yeah it is sad this game got cancelled before it could get a finished but some of the fault from what I remember Chris Tang (One of the game designers to PR2) said was that when Midway bought out Atari Games they canceled PR2 so it wouldn't harm MK (There are other factors too such as Sony having trouble with producing the modified ZN1 boards needed to run PR2 but Midway was the main factor in the cancellation). Also since Midway owned Primal Rage until they closed, WB now owns Primal Rage and from what I have heard Ed Boon hates Primal Rage and will probably not reboot it, I mean you can have hope but IDK if we ever will get a new Primal Rage game.

I think Warner Bros has the rights to primal rage, and since netherrealm already uses their dc characters in mortal kombat and is the developer injustice, its possible for them to get the rights to develop a new primal rage

No WB bought the IP to MK. PR is in limbo. If I could find more about it I would sure try to figure something out to get it off the ground.

Primal Rage was purchased by Midway years ago. When WB purchased Midway, they own all of their titles, which includes Primal Rage. So yeah if NRS wanted to make a new Primal Rage, they could since the rights belongs to Warner Brothers.

@@Runforestrun not gonna lie, I never liked the human component of this sequel, but think about how many other beast fighters you could add to the roster. Some could be insectoid, crustacean-like, amphibious, and there’s still a bit of PR lore that can be mined from, like Throshti (god of carrion)

I wish they hadn't changed how her teleports worked. I admit they were kinda crazy, but don't go making them entirely useless ya know?

Well in this alpha version Vertigo's teleports are bad because of the speed it goes at and the fact the air version doesn't keep you in the air like its supposed to. I actually think pressing a quick button for left, fierce for right and power for a fake teleport (teleport in place) is a good use of the 6 button layout. Its just too slow unlike Primal Rage 2.3 which had the teleport at a perfect speed and can be quite useful in the right situations.

I don't understand why they couldn't have just stuck to the original concept. Update the graphics. Add some new characters. Why are there giant humans fighting each other that sometimes turn into monsters? Just stick with the damn monsters.

Avicus DuSang to be fair this game wasn’t fully released with only a few test cabinets being out . Not only that they ended up dropping the project not to long after . And this game wasn’t really well known just rumored to be around The game you see before you now is thanks to the community and their awesome programmers building the game from the ground up with what they had left of the game to actually use . I remember a couple of years ago when they first started and the game was still barely playable you’d have to close the emulator after every fight lol Overall your right the avatar concept was weird but they just wanted to go with something new despite having monsters as fighters was still a unique idea in its own
