Old Renovated Church With Indoor Spa & Pool For Sale In Tuscany | Lionard
This old church dating back to 1071 and entirely renovated in a modern style with sustainable systems is for sale, framed by the enchanting Maremma Pisana, just a few kilometres from Bolgheri.
There are even a few tangible remains of the very first church and the pilgrim shelter, which was dedicated to St. John the Baptist, but every corner of the property tells of its past.
Thanks to its position, which intercepts two pilgrimage routes, it has always been an ideal passage point for travelers. It was then used as a farm for centuries. The restoration works, which began in 2006 and lasted for about five years, maintained the characteristic elements of its history, such as the walls which in some points are over a meter thick, the wooden beams and the brick arches. This historical jewel has been transformed into a luxurious 600-sqm home, which amazes for its perfectly integrated elements of tradition and design.
On the ground floor the rooms open onto a beautiful internal courtyard, with an olive tree in the center. There are two large halls, one of which with a modern iron fireplace in the center. There is also a spa with a fitness area, a kitchen and two bedrooms with two bathrooms. From one of the two living rooms we have access to a large mezzanine, where there are four other bedrooms with as many bathrooms.
The property also has 38 hectares of grounds featuring olive groves, fields and forestal areas, which also includes a splendid area outside the villa, characterized by a green lawn with ancient stones with two relaxing gazebos. Here, there is a rectangular-shaped swimming pool, which is heated thanks to an eco-sustainable system fed free of charge by a steam well. The latter also feeds the remaining hot water of the villa and the heating in the winter months. The facilities are completed by a helipad and a big parking area. Finally, there is an annex with a bedroom, a bathroom and a laundry room.

That first shot of this video looks great, I liked all the photography, the lighting was perfect and the interiors had lots of space. The interiors really use well the space, and the height of the ceilings, and the ceilings are gorgeous as the walls, whether it's wood or domes of brick, the colors in the rooms are soft, makes them relaxing and cute. The iron chimney looks like the welcoming host of it, it must be so in winter time. The gazebo with wisteria must be a breathtaking sight when flowering. I think the plus of the property must be the natural heating by geothermal. Great video, I'll enjoy watching those cute rooms again.
