I use the free version of Ride with GPS. This would seem to do much the same thing. RWGPS is what most clubs and century rides use in my area. Anyone with a phone has everything they need. It bought back routes I rode 45 years ago, I reached for the downtube shifters a few times!

I have to admit, I have my routine routes that I ride day in, day out... Maybe it is time for me to get a gravel bike and mix things up a bit. Thank you, Chris, for this Input. I am re-thinking my biking strategie :D

What a coincidence! I went on a new route today. Got 40 miles in of lovely countryside in New Mexico.

Awesome video Chris! And you are so right about the beauty of looking at familiar terrain with a fresh eye, it always has so much more to offer than we anticipate!

Thank you Laurent. It's funny how we can often take it fro granted or become familiar until we are encouraged to look again.

I use Kamoot with a pair of Airshokz headphones, stuff the phone into my back pocket, the turn by turn voice directions work well (except with welsh road name.. but that’s additional entertainment)

I think that you may need to be Cornish to know that that doesn't look like Cornwall. Assuming that is just out of Tresillian my friends and I always say we're in France when we ride that part.

Very well spotted. You'd have to know it, indeed. Lovely roads when dry around there.

Is it possible to "follow you" on Komoot so much that i end up catching up with you? Like, sometimes you just get out and you could have some notification that one of your mates is nearby and gives you a chance to meetup out on the road.

This was interesting I’ll definitely check out Komoot. Strava seems to be unchanged year on year, it’s poor value these days

My brain is clearly messed up, I just like riding the same route over and over ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
