I joined in 2013 and it was the best time I’ve had on Roblox. There were no bacon hairs, noodle hairs, hashtags, ANTHRO, events, scams, meep city, jailbreak, and overpriced catalog items. Old Roblox had the original jailbreak, prison life. We also had tix and everyone could get money and change their avatars. WE HAD BEAUTIFUL GUESTS! No hashtags and you can say whatever you want. We had classic brick battles and forums. Old Roblox were the good old days. Also back then, KZbin wasn’t so family friendly so we had the best Roblox KZbinrs back then such as Albertsstuff. Now we have Flamingo (the new Albertsstuff) who just talks about poop and has an audience of 8 year olds. This is why to this day, I still wear the classic yellow, blue, and green noob on Roblox.

We need a better popular page. one that isn't only based on players playing. maybe a ratio of likes and players maybe even favorites. A better chat filter. It filters words that definitely should not be filtered. I have literally had the word "will" filtered and im on a +13 account. Better moderation. The bots aren't perfect and either don't ban when they should, or sometimes ban when they shouldn't. I got a 3 day ban over u.s state flags for "hate speech". Along with enforcing rules and actually banning od'ers and deleting places that many od'ers are on. Since it is against the rules and obviously also for pedophilia. Personally I'd like to see Tix re added but in a way that wouldn't obliterate the economy. Maybe even a roblox level or something? You gain xp for reporting cheaters or time played ect.. Simple things that personally would just make roblox better. Why i say roblox the game isn't all that bad but roblox the company is complete shit.

I joined in 2012 and in my opinion, it was 10x better than Modern Roblox, The community was great but the old games weren’t that well made like really well scripted and built games but they were satisfying and enjoyable even without all the good scripting and building. I still enjoyed both the community and games much more than the Modern games, it also seems like old Roblox was more creative, classic, and original but since Roblox has evolved, more and more game ideas were being taken so people had a harder time to develop something unique and new but most can’t, so that’s why we see so many simulators, obbies, tycoons, etc. Btw, I remember Old Roblox Obbies were simple and fun and the thing that blew my mind was that they had ghost paths, nobody knew the camera glitch to see which path is solid and you can walk on, the ghost path was just you guessing which way you would go from point A to point B, it was very complicating and complex for that time but it was a pretty fun challenge to beat, my tatic was to drop my hats and see if the direction i’m going is correct which wasn’t that great, let’s just say, that was a stupid and un-efficient tactic I used. That’s all I have to say.

Ok only my opinion but "Right now old games get very boring" I disagree. The front page is full of simulators, that literally have no originality to themselves. You can literally autoclick for weeks and be the very best. I remember back somewhere in 2013-2014 there were games that literally had comands. Like not admin comands like :fly or smth, but voice comands. You could to /taco (I think I don't exactly remember) and everyone would hear the song. That was annoying, but looking at it rn, I would love to experience it. The first person shooters were also amazing. I remember call of robloxia. Kind of phantom forces but way better. You could literally rush Omaha Beach with dual 1911 and a revolver. And it didn't even cost a single in game cash. I also remember the game that, that was literally ww3. Boys Vs Girls island wars. That was the shit back in the day. Choose your team, and fight for the flag in the middle of the map. Rocket launchers, tanks, boats and even zeppelins are there for you to destroy your enemy. Personally the games weren't that boring. Heck, even the boys and girls hangout (the game that introduced me to roblox) didn't have any oders. You would just talk, make friends or roleplay in that game. I remember being a barista and a rock star there lmao. But seriously, old roblox games weren't that boring, at least if we look into 2013-2014 (the times of a retarded mouse that we all love). The community was nice, and everyone was friendly. Today's roblox could be better, if it would push the possibilities of the engine to the max. You've got so many tools, packages, good designers, animations to work with and what do you create? A game where you have to mash m1 to defeat everyone else. If someone wanted, they could create a literal call of duty with a campaign, zombies and multiplayer.

I would disagree... Due to.... Roblox 2006-2013 Most general OLD ROBLOX GAMES WORKED FUNCTIONALLY.... Roblox 2006-2012 Most non file-mesh games worked with eachother visually... Roblox 2014 Broke Dalek Morph games. Dalek morphs are morphs that are brick based and weld. Where your humanoid would join inside of them and just. Be in them. Also Roblox 2014 animations broke most games. Old bugs like flying with bricks on knees was great in 2011-2013 ERA games. As you could fly in building places. I would simply say 2006-2013 As old roblox. Due to roblox 2014 Has none of the bugs as these old versions, no common physhics, no roblox studs on player models, no glue textures ( this texture is why I quit making roblox games ) I do not see much commonalities with 2014 with 2013. 2013 Is the last of old roblox. Due to lack of similarities with physhics, chat menus, culture, and generally. Games weren't broken in 2013. Most roblox games from. 2011 would work in 2013. Roblox games in 2010, WOULD WORK IN 2013, Roblox 2014 NOT THE CASE. Roblox 2007-2009 WORKED with mixed results depending on the game. Like Dalek morphs had two iterations to fix this issue. Tinarg fixed them in 2013, broke in 2014 thanks to 2014 roblox.

The community was actually really good back then. If you wanted to become friends with someone you only had to send a request and they would more often than not accept it immediately or maybe within one minute or so. Nowadays if you want to become friends with someone you may get judged by your wealth and look. I am not saying old Roblox had these prejudice players, It's just that they were less frequent and harder to find. The community was really good overall back then. Take this from a guy who has been playing Roblox since early 2012 and is now trying to become a Roblox KZbinr.

In actual honesty. Here's the most real response to the phrase from a man who joined 2014 as a guest, and 2016 as a player. In the past, roblox games were very poor in terms of script, ugc didn't exist, and players were either like old online daters (which are still existant may I add), the common guest, or the casual players / exploiters. However, the games that were made were heavily creative and original (such as Make a Cake, Survive the Disasters, Stop it Slender, etc.), we the players could be more creative with how we try to look like our favorite characters, and the players were a good chunk of the time friendly. Flash forward to 2018-2021, where games are better scripted but are less creative, Guests are no longer a thing and trends such as slenders and ro-gangsters became a thing, and almost everything you see on the ugc market is a direct copy or "inspiration" from something they don't even own. Is this ROBLOX's fault? I can easily agree with some on that idea, but mostly because the main problem isn't them: it's us. Most slenders and ro-gangsters are hated for being rude to anyone who isn't like them, turning so many people's past into their "hives" (MeepCity, Murder Mystery 2, maybe even a few more), and ruining the term of a "child's game" without care. Meanwhile, near 100s of devs are simply copy and pasting a trend like cafes or latest meme / movie and cash grabbing 50%. It's a weird mixture of faults here. It's ROBLOX's for not doing much about the horrid scenarios and having some admins who are not fit for the job for obvious reasons (ex. The admin who still is mad at Ruben Sim to this day). On the other side of the mix, it's a lot of our faults for ruining the past (also pointing to the hackers who deleted Bake a Cake) and the devs for both ugc and normal games for blatantly copying everything that becomes a trend and trying as hard as they can to earn money off of it. This was just a "small" take on what I think is about the scenario. In summary: Old Roblox was better solely because the new Roblox is basically a ruined version of old roblox because of us.

Tix from my one year with them, I can say they were good at that time. But now if tix were still around, it would cause CHAOS. people would make even worse scam games which give little effort just to make more tix. Then with dev ex they would trade off that tix for robux (if you didn't know you used to be able to trade tix for robux 10 tix=1 robux) and then get money off of a scam. Which in mass could cause DEVASTATING damages to roblox as a whole. I miss tix as much as the next person, but they had no choice if they wanted to do AMAZING projects like dev ex (trading robux for ACTUAL MONEY) which completely changes the game for creators, this made them want to try and make great games. Although at the beginning the removal of tix was a curse, its now truly a blessing :).

I'm sad that i joined in mid-end 2017. I never experienced the fun in the old days. I tried SFOTH (Sword Fights on the Heights) recently, and i REALLY enjoyed it. I also enjoyed Brickbattling more than i thought i would. Imagine the old times of Roblox where you can play SFOTH with probably 50-60% of it's players. Now the game is just basically dead and those who plays it are either old Robloxians or those who enjoyed it. Newer players would just play all the front page games not knowing that SFOTH exists. I joined roblox December 1st, 2012. I was 5-7 years old at the time but i really cant remember a whole lot. I remember the original murder mystery and Roblox High School. Fun tycoon and obbys and build to survive. Now tycoon, obbys, and build to survive games are now clickbait games. Chloe was right about the clothing, anything you wore in the old days are now consider online dating clothes. I miss old roblox and its people.
