You would be surprised how many people think getting married will fix their relationship.
@miked1725 ай бұрын
Yeah, but she probably thought he'd moved on from his younger days. He and his friends were growing up and maturing. Bernard was married with kids and owned an electronics store. Mitch was married and some sort of businessman. She probably thought Frank would settle down too. But everything got turned upside down when Mitch found out what his wife was doing and he ended up in a house on a college campus, and Bernard pushed him to start a fraternity. That pulled Frank back to his younger college days. If that stuff never happened, Frank probably would've kept growing and maturing. And Frank mentioning during therapy "only one woman for the rest of my wife" was a seed that Bernard planted in him.

That said, a marriage doesn't have to result in you trying to hide your feelings from your wife. Many marriages benefit from the husband, or wife, confessing their fantasies to one another and going with it. I guess it depends on the nature of your marriage and the person you married though. Men were never meant to be monogamous and there's a biological reason for that. Put 10 men and 1 woman in a room. How many babies are you gonna get? 1. Now put 10 women and 1 man in the room. How many babies are you gonna get? 10. Which scenario propagates the species more effectively? And there you go. Men are naturally motivated to disseminate their seed as far and wide as possible. Oops but now we discover that this introduces social disorder with kids running around everywhere without a dad present because he's impregnated 1000 females without consequence, and then, you get the male population literally fighting/going to war over the women, and on and on, so society has created this set of rules artificially imposed over reality which eliminates some problems but not all such as preventing men from being who they are. This is why for a man looking for women is like going into a candy store. You try one it's delicious maybe even your favorite in the whole store but then you want all the other pieces of candy too. Now you might not have the money to buy them all but it's totally dysfunctional to tell a person he also can't even do anything to EARN or MERIT other pieces of candy. I would say that polygyny is the solution because it involves commitment and accountability but to more than one woman but there's another problem: the global population is split nearly 50/50 male/female which means there wouldn't be enough females to go around. I wish I had a solution.

same. ever notice how lopsided it all is? men & women have different motives but it seems women get all their desires satisfied in a marriage, or at least, it is socially accepted that they are entitled by some moral right so that if women aren't provided for the man is considered a deadbeat, where men get very little from the deal.
