When I first moved to NYC this is the type of music that was being played in many of the clubs downtown. It seems like a certain time frame from '93 to '96 where the best house music was being created. I could be wrong but this is what I remember. 21:15 to about 27:00 is amazing music to me.

Can't help you w/NYC, my late 80's - early 90's were spent in the lofts and warehouses of Chicago. I'll never forget the floors bouncing so much from people dancing, at one particular Milwaukee Ave. spot, that I was afraid we'd all fall through. It was a truly revolutionary time for me and has inspired me in so many ways. I still have the Technics 1200MkIIs I saved for and bought at age 14, and all of my vinyl. Those were the good times.

No problem. On youtube I come across a lot of mixes that seem promising. The titles are something like "deep", "funky" or "tribal' but when you listen to them they are nothing more than soulless progressive shit devoid of any funk. This mix is good. Takes me back to '98 / 99 and going to house clubs.
