Spent 7 years in Marquette, just to be able to travel the U.P. with my golden retriever and canoe on the pickup. A few muskies (and tigers) in Craig Lake (nothing compares to the savage strike of a muskie! - even took walleyes a couple times off my stringer! and a smalley off my line). Was a crew leader for the YCC and first DNR into Craig Lake State Park in '75 to begin developing it. Wading into Lake of the Clouds & catching a smalley and cooking it on the escarpment. Cohos and rainbows on small spinners in Big Beaver Lake in Pictured Rock Nat. Lakeshore. Coho salmon off the mouth of the Laughing Whitefish with ice flows still floating around trolling cleo spoons. And the many crystal clear spring ponds in the lowlands Munising area and the beautiful brookies. Thanks for the amazing video - sure took me back. A best friend still lives in Ishpeming. Me, I've been fishing the inlets and ocean in South Carolina for the past 30 years.

OLD SCHOOL? FISH finder,electric trolling motor? My old school in the late 50’s in Crivitz Area dragging a 12 ft plywood boat on home made trailer down fire lanes to hidden lakes. Viscount and then new Mitchell 300 I bowered from dad,Shakespeare bait caster with Dacron line,oars for trolling! BassOreno flat fish,pikie minnow,hilidabrant spinners,and a can of worms! Skinney dipping when it got too hot,and baloney sandwiches,and cool aid in a thermos,pop was too expensive! That is OLD SCHOOL!

The biggest problem I've found is that the loggers putting up burm's along all the trails. That limits all of us sportsman!!!!

It seems to me that the fish should be giants on these lakes that hardly see any fishermen.
