Beautiful counter! There was original a ball in the interior of the pump. A steel or copper ball, like a golf ball without the dimples. That was the original non-return valve..not from Latvia...I used a wooden ball, but after some time that ball was not round any more en leaked. Steel balls you find at the local autobus repair shop (London transport) out of a discarded ball-bearing.

There is a valve. It’s a flat one metal on metal. The Blake toilet has a ball in the valve. But even on the Blake I have a non return valve. Between the two we’ll get pumping. 😂😂😂

The thing is …. It’s like a puzzle and when you’ve completed the puzzle it’s quite an achievement. This kind of work is exciting and so rewarding. Hardly notice the time going by!

I have never seen a farm house pump as a faucet. I love it! The galley is going to look marvelous. Great job on the routing and love the stain on the wood. Very classy. Hopefully the Latvians will come through with your package by next week. It is scary as I am starting to recognize the terms you are using and what tools do what. Of course I have been following you for most of my life 😂. Have your folks been to the boat to see the progress? I’m traveling back to the folks once a month at the moment. Mum has cancer and is learning to live with it. Immunotherapy and a small bit of Chemotherapy. She’s doing well and we just keep our fingers crossed. The Latvians have delivered! I’ll be connecting it tomorrow!

If you go to eBay and search “deck prism” you find them. However they are rare. Save the search and eBay will let you know when they come up. Or do what I do is have a lots of saved searches and check them daily….
