My granny used vinegar instead of lemon in her chess pie recipe. That's because it was hard/expensive to get lemons in the middle of the U.S. way back when. That's how old her recipe was. But this sure does take me back to the days of her home cooking. I miss her so much! Thanks for the trip down memory lane! :)

Dame chef Jeffery you remind me when I used to work in the kitchen with other chefs at high in retired homes, assistant living homes etc, I learned from working alongside from them, I love cooking it releases stress, but I havent cooked in a minute since its only me by myself now, but when I had my wife living here with me I used to turn up in the kitchen with all kinds of stuff I still got it in me, but I havent cooked big meals since my divorce 3 yrs ago, but keep up the good work brotha

You are so right about Doubling the recipe. I did not think my family would like the pie. So I only baked one….. I had to make another one today… The second one tasted so much better. The first one I used large eggs the second and I use medium ones. The first one was a little eggy to me but they still loved it. Using the medium eggs tasted best for me. Well done! I love this channel.
