Manuia Le Tausaga Fou/Happy New Year RayRay 🥳! 3:53 You’re saying it right Uso. _Fai fai pea_ chorus part (aside from the literal meaning as others have explained below) is mostly synonymous with an old Samoan chant “Ua alu atu le afi”, well that’s where I heard it first lol.
@LC__154 жыл бұрын
1:13 Typical Samoan igi (pick/riff), hopefully hear more of these samples used in future Poly Hiphop/Drill. 1:54 So so true that for a Poly Hiphop video from 2001, visuals are amazing and who does that? Record off a moving truck especially with how bumpy the roads are there in Samoa lol. Just imagine if it was shot in today’s HD/4K, colours would pop off even more. 2:31 Fa’a pa boom boom is basically Samoan slang to _Turn up the music loud_ and it’s funny when you try and do that but video is from 2001 so the audio quality isn’t the best. 3:23 There are Samoans are bigger than XXL lol, I’m more a 3-4XL myself lol but down from 7XL a year ago today, hopefully down to XL by end of this new year 💪🏽. 5:39 💯, that’s the point of the whole song. King Kaps is a deep Uso with well thought out lyricism when it comes to struggles of growing up Samoan overseas and trying to reconcile your cultural roots within a Palagi educational system, the _Savage Instincts_ album which this is off is brilliant all round. 8:31 The sample at the end is off an old Samoan song, interestingly enough the last word _Fa’alogo_ which is repeated/skipped at the end means _“To Listen/Hear”_ which adds to the whole message KK is spitting prior. 8:50 Kapisi is the Samoan word for Cabbage haha. Not sure if it means something personal to him or if it’s a alliterative Rap name but cool nonetheless. Seki reaction as always Uso 🔥🔥🔥 - Kai Lava/Thank You.
