My first rig was a ‘78 K100. And now 45yrs later I’m retired. I love watching Steve do it old school. No fridge, no microwave, no air fryers or coffee makers. Orwell isn’t just a truck. It’s a Time Machine that takes me back to younger, and much harder days. When a good thermos was your prize possession.

Great video Steve really enjoy all the different camera angles and your commentary and the music. Gotta love the scenery one minute your driving through sunny skies 30 munutes later full blown snow storm. Watching the other driver act like they've never driven in snow before. Glad you made it to where you needed to be to unload stay safe Steve.

I love driving in snow, at least for the first hour. Then its starts to get old. Back when I worked in an office they would sometimes close the factory do to snow. I would drive home, grab my skis, and drive an hour to the slopes.

That would be scary getting stuck up that hill. I been there before in Colorado or Montana and I was like damnit hearing the tires lose traction and I was not happy. I was able to get traction on the side of the road and I was able to get to the top of the hill. My wife was like that's crazy. They ain't clearing the roads good. We managed to get a good parking spot at the truck shop next to the building 😁😁 we was able to connect to the WiFi there. We ended up getting stranded due to bad weather and roads were terrible. The customers were understandable and they were like a few hours away. They was happy seeing us arrive with there belongings.

Good job Steve considering to don't have a shitload of weight. Northern Arizona can get major snow around Flagstaff. I bet you're glad you have the @GreenAPU on board. Stay safe but i guess you already made it home. $$$ is tight but still hoping to make it to MATS. BTW you have new neighbors. @Truckingtogether recently pulled up stakes in California and are now in Wisconsin. He has a 2009 KW W-900 and because of the CARB act he can't run on his own authority out there.

Hope it's been good for the channel so it can be done again at different time of year. Last time in Flagstaff my Chevelle got stuck there - not from snow, the POS 496 I bought from Speed-o-Motive (not motive) lost the mains and was done. Big problem since from NoCal on my way to Pensacola. A challenge to say the least!

great job Steve I know it really sucks when you are rolling along and then you need too slow down and you just tap the brakes and the engine quits because the wheels locked up and it can happen in ice and snow and I have had it happen in downtown Chicago when it just starts too rain and the oil on the road gets slicker than snot until it rains enough too wash it off

I really enjoy this Steve guy and his videos. I ran a cab-over Pete with a 3408 Cat and 325 inch. wheelbase back in the day. Michelon tires will never let you down but I do suggest that you throw a Detroit locker in the rear drive. They are bullet-proof. The only other suggestion I would suggest is that you run your strap through at least 1 hole on your spare tire on your drop deck. You can't fake being a great truck driver and time will speak for its self. Thank you sir it is a pleasure to watch you

Check body shops back home. Sometimes body shops will buy fixer upper cars from a big as car, truck wreck yard in Phoenix az. My buddy used to do that for a backhaul. Plus farm equipment. Flagstaff is pretty high. It can be 95 in Phoenix and only 70 in Flagstaff. Lower elevation is just rock. As you climb it turns to grass and mesquite, then pine trees.
