Wow, this exhibition battle of old school vrs new school brought such joy to my heart. Everyone was amazing in their own way. It seems like new school emphasizes quickness and higher jumps while old school features stylish footwork and power. Of course, the hairstyles are different.

I would love to see new school dancers incorporate old school stress on style. Pure athleticism and tricks, those kids are untouchable. Legit magic machines. Old schoolers have a style and presence that says I'll uprock your headspins into dust. I don't know how to word this but old is substance and style without the skill and gymnastics. New school is flipped. All gymnastics and skill but no substance and style. That sounds hatery but I don't mean it like it sounds. The attitude is maybe what it is. Old heads look like they'll box your face off your head. They look like they'll battle you bloody. New school swings for knockouts on every move I'm not concerned about being knocked out. If you made it this far, great. Last way to word the same thing. Old school was a replacement for actual violence. They battled to keep from being violent. New school competes for the most technical power moves without the same emotion behind it. What I mean is that if the new school guys could exude that same "I'm here to take your lunch, shirt, pants, shoes and socks." while pulling off some of the best power moves I have ever seen, that would be otherworldly epic.
