Dalhart Texas is one of his most amazing songs. I will never listen to it enough, it makes me glad to be alive.

I don't know what I'm more impressed by: His comb-over or his playing.

I WAIT FOR NEW JOHN UPLOADS THAT I HAVE NOT HEARD IN DECADES. AND THEN I WAIT AGAIN. THEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. THANK YOU SO MUCH "rlutge". I TOO AM NOT WITHOUT HUGS FOR YOU. PART OF THIS MEDLEY IS ALSO ON "J.F. VISITS W.D." SOME OF THE TRACTS HAVE BEEN UPLOADED BUT NOT "THE GRAND FINALE". WOULD LOVE TO HEAR IT AGAIN, SOMEONE PLEASE POST IT. HOWEVER, THIS (AND THESE) LIVE VERSIONS WERE SO UNEXPECTED AND I AM OVERWHELMED AND OH SO GRATEFUL.

You could actually argue that this whole performance is "The Grand Finale" from the "John Fahey Visits Washington, D.C." album, which is a combination of Old Southern Medley and Dalhart, Texas, 1967

John would get a kick out of us making fun of that combover . He had that kind of a sense of humor .

I can only imagine what it would of being like to see Fahey at this concert,he truly was an innovative figure. Its a shame that Michael Hedges and John Fahey never made an album together, that would of been an interesting colloboration.
