Hmm, living in the city you can sometimes forget that you're native. Then you watch stuff like this and remember it's your culture and you grew up like this, then it kind of blows your mind that you're native, lol.

At 2:29 if someone walks up to you and drops money while you're dancing do you casually pick it up while you dance. Or do you dance nearby and wait to pick it up until the song finishes?
@auntoneyofuntease67042 жыл бұрын
Someone else picks it up and usually gives it to an elder. That was my mom's friend, she kinda like an aunt, but she always gave me 20 bucks when I was done dancing.

In some places they say what you do on one side you do on the other. Then I’ve heard no you just stay in one spot and do minimal footwork. Is it one, the other or both? Or is it the ones with the most expensive regalia place anyway?

I went to a pow wow this saturday. The person doing the grass dancing there danced differently than this but when I was near him in the dance circle (since I don't know anything) told him I loved his dancing and that's when he told me it's a grass dance. My mom says that each tribe teaches differently, so there's likely multiple ways of doing it.
