I am so relieved to finally find a video showing that you can paint furniture for a distressed or farmhouse look without using chalk paint!! The transformation is great. I loved the inspiration table. This is a great way to faux finish a project that has the finish in tact. Much easier than sanding to the bare wood and then staining and painting. Your mom and you are so cute together. The laughter is contagious!

Omgoodness it turned out gorgeous!!! We live in an old mobile home that we are currently Remodeling and just put down new vinyl flooring that looks like wood and it's gorgeous. I just picked up a round table that I'm going to be repainting and I may try this because this turned out beautiful and I'm definitely looking for The Rustic Farmhouse look. I have an aunt with an infections laugh like your mom's. I LOVE it! If I hear my aunt laugh in walmart I immediately know it's her. It's just so comforting, anytime she laughs we ALL laugh. I like to think sweet souls have great laughs :) thanks for leaving that moment in the video.

You and your mom crack me up. Reminds me of my mom and I lol Have you tried adding knots to your faux wood grain? I think it would give you that last little push to make it look really authentic. Give the brush a little swirl or an arch in some of the strokes. I'd love to see a project where you try that technique. We have very different styles, but I've always over watching your process and I learn a lot from it. If you hate it you can always paint over it ;) Can't wait to see the whole makeover

So I did this technic on my chairs and I’m thinking on doing it on the legs of my table. I stained my table and left white around base. I will say this is a learning curve and I practice first on a chair had a brown melted chocolate- I didn’t like that color so I went and got the waverly truffle mixed with mineral one like she used. I had to repaint 2 chairs white because I was too heavy on the brush. So this time I practice on a piece of board to help me get a lighter hand of it. I must say THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO AND YOUR OTHER ONES AS WELL!!!
