We ate in the Dolphin in June - yes it was really nice. A little sad to see such an iconic building being torn down, but I agree it was looking rather shabby and a bit of an eyesore. I just hope they don't remove or spoil the gardens. It would be great if you did the occasional video to record progress - Penzance is my favourite town, but I'm 1,000s of miles away at the moment! Many thanks.

I remember the old gas holders in penzance, shows how old I am, the trouble with progress is they seem to make things worse. Thanks for the video 👍

Good vlog! It's not going to be affordable for us locals, I'm afraid! I hope they don't change the gardens too much it has a beautiful fountain that used to work! I was in Penzance last week and noticed a yacht and still the trawler sunk (high tide) 😮

Nan and gramps lived in St Anthony Place until 1978, major part of my growing up. This is very sad

The bloke you was talking to was dead right, there going to be very expensive apartments that no local can afford and I can’t see any affordable houses being put there at all. We was in the planning meeting in county hall when they was discussing the planning and it was an absolute joke one councillor even stormed out the meeting. Will explain more when I see you next.

Personally I'm glad this eyesore is going. Really stretching it to call the concrete box art deco. It never worked as an art gallery or bar. There is the whole debate to be had about "affordable" but we really need new homes built, so I'm all in favour.
