I have looked and it is wonderful. My husband and I are serving our third full time senior mission at this time in Tacoma Washington. We support the military members on the military bases close to Tacoma Washington. We are in the greatest game of hide and seek that the world has ever know. We are the seekers and those we seek are the lost and hiding on both sides of the veil. We seek through missionary work and in temple work. What a great time to be alive.

We had dinner one Sunday and I chose my sister to do prayer and she did. She's fallen away from the church for years. She believes but she doesn't think she's worthy enough to come back. I noticed that she modeled her prayer after mine and by the end she cried because she hadn't prayed in so long. I struggle so much to go to church and read my scriptures and say prayers. I'm amazed that even I can be a good example for her. I want to be better. Out of all my siblings I'm the only one that goes to church.

I feel prompted to share an experience I at a baptism about a month ago. This was a young woman’s baptism and it was very well attended! While she was getting dressed, after the ordinance, we were singing hymns. One of the songs chosen was A Child’s Prayer. As you know, this isn’t available in the hymnbook, just the children’s book. We don’t have many copies of the children’s hymnbook available, yet. As we sang the song, EVERYONE knew it! It sounded like angels had joined us in that room! There wasn’t an assignment for one half to sing one part and the other half to do the other. It simply- happened. It was the most beautiful thing. The Spirit stayed with me the entire day! So wonderful!

Your lesson today was beautiful. But when your Son joined in it ignited my spirit. I could feel his passion about the Lord, his mission, and the Gospel. And when he told us where he was called to serve my heart lept! I was born and raised in Tulare CA. Only a hop, skip, and a jump away from Fresno. We had many Hmong people in our high school, ward, and hometown. Elder Scott, you are going to fall in love with the Central Valley of California and the Hmong residence there. Your spirit came through like a wild fire of light. While I'm certain you were a rockstar on the football field, I believe your role as a missionary will set you up to lead many people to Christ, making you a rockstar in a concert that plays for life, and beyond. I understand that you are making sacrifices in your life right now to go on your mission. I want to thank you as a young man who has many opportunities at this given moment for choosing a selfless one. For choosing to serve his fellow man and Christ. Thanks again, and God bless.

So, I felt the spirit so strong when Chelsea was talk about her sisters experience in Jerusalem and her sisters testimony of Jesus Christ and our living Prophet. In our Relief Society lesson last week, we talked about "Overcoming the World " By President Russell M. Nelson. It was so powerful, before the lesson, this sweet sister bore her testimony about her love and faith that the Prophet is called by Christ and he is here for us today. Our Heavenly Father and His Son love us so much, they gave us Russell M Nelson to help guide us during this spiritual darkness we are experiencing at this time in history. Not just as a people but individually. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I love our dear Prophet. I feel them as I write this. I love you guys too, thank you for your preparation and love for us.

I enjoy your “Come Follow Me” insights every week. Since my Wife passed away a year and a half ago, I haven’t had any desire to return to the Temple without her. We always went together. We had also served at the Temple together. I felt the Holy Spirit when your Son spoke about his experience of being in the Temple, and bearing his testimony. I now feel like I can return to the Temple, without my eternal companion at my side. Thank you.

Look I’m going to take you up on your challenge and read a talk from President Russell M Nelson for 10 days straight. I might read/listen to two or three a day, they are so good and inspiring. Today I listened to “Revelation for the Church, Revelation for Our Lives” and “Personal Preparation for Temple Blessings”. My husband and I teach the temple prep class in our ward and I always suggest they read that General Conference talk from President Nelson about temple preparation. Congratulations to your family to have two missionaries out at the same time. The blessings will be pouring in. Thank you for letting your sons share their testimonies these last two weeks it will be great to hear their testimonies again when they return from their missions. During one of President Nelson‘s talk in October he said from this moment to the second coming of christ, we are going to witness more miracles and the power of God. I have been looking for these miracles and I have to say your sister’s experience is another testament that our wonderful Prophet is so in tune to Heavenly Father. And I would like to also say that I am so grateful for you guys and what you’re doing. My husband passed away four years ago and I knew I had to start building my own testimony and my own knowledge because I always relied on his. You guys have done a tremendous job at helping me. Her name is Jodi Jameson, lives in Flagstaff AZ. We've turned her on to this channel & I believe she's been watching you both....since we shared the url about a month ago when you both made sincere heartfelt pleas for people to get themselves ready to make & keep temple covenants. We're pretty sure she's watched these last few ones where you've talked about your family's temple experience. So thank you. You might be the helping hand we need to help her get there. She promised our mother in 2015 a few days before she died that she'd get to the temple. We want to help her keep that promise & want her to feel the love & blessings that come from going to the temple.

I am so grateful for your story about your sister. It gives me such great hope for my family and my daughter that there is always hope. My niece is in Fresno serving a mission . How exciting. Yes mom's hearts there is lots of emotion when you have a missionary and you know it's the right thing but you can't prepare yourself and your heart for when they leave but such a great blessing . So lots of prayers for you and your family as it is so good and such a blessing but still hard well it is for me. Yet I wouldn't change it and I get to do it again soon my other son who is a senior will submit his mission papers Feb 5 . My oldest son is in Nebraska serving. I've been getting bits and pieces of it all last week, but hadn't quite put it together. My hubby and I teach the 12-14 year olds and this is what they need to hear. The Savior is so important, the Prophet and Apostles are so important - we have to have faith - the world is so crazy, we have to have faith in the Savior, faith in the Prophet. We have to know that the Prophet speaks from God, he will not lead us astray, it's the best and only way that we can make it through this earthly life. So happy for your sister Chelsea. So happy for your family, such a growing year for your family - some might have lost their faith, but you all took the "But if Not..." part of life and stayed true to the Lord! Yay! What a blessing to have 2 sons going on a mission. I can tell that you are going to have so much light in your life that your cups will overflow. 🥰

Lucky is the parent who holds a newborn baby for the first time and sees God's miraculous creation, desiring to teach that little person that they are an eternal creation and the parents desire is to teach and lead by example all about Heavenly Father, of Jesus Christ, of The Gift of the "Holy Ghost" the "Best Friend" they will ever have. Blessed is that little baby who looks into the faces of such loving 💕 parents,. Then as they get older, children are oftentimes difficult. I took my children to church alone and it was hardly ever easy!!!!!!!!!! I'd say to myself, is it worth it, knowing it was. I felt like I had carried my laundry down a mountain, wahed the clothes in a creekside of water then carried them back up that mountain, being totally exhausted!!!!!!! Now they are all grown and very wonderfully contributing people. this scripture comes to mind: I didn't say it would b easy, but it would be worth it. And it is! Your son's parents look so proud as you wear those great big sparkling eye's and the biggest, most brightest smiles!!!!!!! Well-done! Now onto a new beginning Elder Scott, you will be remarkable. Being a convert myself, the missionary who confirmed me was from Cardston Alberta Canada, Elder Robert Berry Wood. I thank the missionaries that came to Hornbrook California often.

I feel for your joy and longing, but I can’t imagine two at the same time. When Thomas went, I figured out that if I’d read through Numbers 10 between the time of his call B and entering the MTC, I could read two chapters a a day for the rest of his mission and conclude with the Articles of Faith in the day we picked him up at the airport. I’d never done that before so it was a great celebration.

Of course, my prophet analogy is: being in El Paso on my mission, there's a mountain range in El Centro (downtown). The prophet is on Transmountain as it were. He can therefore see what is best for every El Pasoan as well as Ciudad Juarez and New Mexico. Everyone understood this whom I taught in the Borderland :)
