I understand very much - when wife and kids play up best to take a walk to the pub and remember the good days when all seemed possible and plentiful. One of my favourite drinks was Vodka with ice - sometimes with orange juice - very good to relieve the monotony of beer. lager and whisky!

Thanks, Madam, for good words to Mr Ivory and me! In fact the vids are OK, and I just recall younger days of Jolly-Good-Show (remember that? I just wonder it still goes?) in the army beginning 80s, with - unfortunately - no limits in spirits consumtion and officers' club atmosphere in Africa: lucky-n-stupid days of 1st Lt by that time... And when my kids get me upset now, I recall Agatha Cristy: Every one has to make his own mistakes in one's life...C'est ca... Regards

Sorry, I forgot to say that I do not really believe that a few drinks everyday in moderation does any real harm - probably the opposite if it means a good walk there and back to the tavern, with good company, conversation and music, memories etc. I give to you and Mr Ivories a toast from my English beer glass, Mr Redwings!

Quite so... and that expression reminds me of those catch phrases in 60s and 70s beer ads... or was it furniture polish? - well anyway some of them drank that as well...!

Bravo, Mr Ivory:)....Best reply which I could even think of:)...But the freacks are anywhere, and they go down in their manner, and not only in pints and drugs...There is a singer in StPetersburg singing: "It looks as trickery, when No-To-Drugs, but Pls-Drink-Vodka!..." No No, Ivory, some of yr UK phrases are all of OK transferred at Continent, and I did my best to match the phrase, but perhaps the Continental matching doesn't work all the time )))...While responding I was mixing Eng and French...I guess that's because too much French soccermen in Premier Leage...

Feedback cookie of my favourite drink (nostalgy as I quitted): Gin Straight Please-Serve-Hot at 45C -100-150 gm Rations A Time - Bad Aluminium Smashed Cup (Clutching-Teeth-Over-Edge) - Dont-Forget-Some-Sand inside...And would anyone call it lack of adventure? Thanks for your comment. I expect the reality was that this type of piano originated in far out poorer communities where they couldn't or wouldn't spend money on tuning it up and that's what folks got used to!
