Ron, John and Lynn practicing CW (Continuous Wave) Morse code communications on the 80m ham band. An audio demonstration of both an internal INRAD 400 Hz I.F. filter and external Hi-Per-Mite CW audio filter is included in this recording. Both filters are fine for CW, and the excellent Hi-Per-Mite CW audio filter was designed by David Cripe, NM0S, and is sold by the Four State QRP Group. The ICOM IC-718 audio is recorded using an RCA pocket voice recorder. Morse code practice hint for listening to CW videos on KZbin: If they are a little too fast, use the settings tool in the task bar to slow the playback speed, for example using the 0.5 setting to change a 20-wpm transmission to a 10-wpm transmission. And you can use the technique in reverse, if you would like to listen to a transmission at a faster speed, then use a ratio greater than 1.0. 73 NG9D
