It's certainly no Mercury Cougar, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Fiat Coupe or Alfa Romeo GTV, but is still a decent car and great alternative for anyone who can't afford to by a Toyota GT 86. Although, it's a terrible shame that this generation of the Celica doesn't have a GT-Four model.

I have had a few cars over the years, Gen 6 Celica, MK4 Toyota Supra, Type R Civic FN2 but the Gen 7 190 will always be the best all rounder of those. Great engine that loved to rev, looked great if you had the GT spoiler, skirts and an after market front bumper. Unfortunately and this is extremely common on these cars now, they love to rust. If you are looking to buy one do an MOT history check as a first step. If they have any mention of sub frames being corroded or the same for break pipes then I would advise moving on. I'd still love to get another but most of them are sadly rot boxes now and if they have been undersealed then you worry what they are hiding, shame as it is a great car.

@SpartanQwop3 жыл бұрын
Like a second faster. Not that much difference.
@alexanderjamesreed9353 жыл бұрын
If you actually drive both, you can feel a huge difference. Its more than a second as in reality the t sport does it in about 6.5 seconds, if you hit lift from gear to gear.
@SpartanQwop3 жыл бұрын
@@alexanderjamesreed935 Debatable. I actually own the vvti model and have gone head to head against a T sport, and really, getting from 0-60. Not much difference, again you have to hit over 6k Revs for the lift to kick in, and by that time, sure the T sport is great. But there isn't an outstanding difference - plus the vvti model is lightweight, engine kicks in between 5/6k revs and with a few adjustments to the car such as shedding some weight (like the backseats) and adding an air filter it can easily go from 0-60 in 6/7 seconds.
@alexanderjamesreed9353 жыл бұрын
@@SpartanQwop Agreed - you have to hit lift in order to feel any difference whatsoever. However once you do, there is no competition. If you can then hit lift from first to second, a standard 140 is dust. It is tricky to hit lift from first to second admittedly - and with some newer t sports the rev limit is lower so you can't do this - but i would avoid these models personally. This was done in 1999 though - and the older models all kick in at 6000rpm and rev all the way up to 8250, enabling you to go from lift back into lift.
@TheRealSkeletor2 жыл бұрын
