To everyone saying the car was shit, It was meant to tear up. a cheap economy box for those who dislike the hassle of buying a more luxurious used car and all their problems, and possibilities. This car is perfect for those on a very strict budget, and its cheap quality means cheap and easy replacement. Perfect for messy kids. Perfect for gas saving.

The best part is that you don't need to learn how to use calenders, You just need to get mesathelioma to realize you need a new car. Great thinking CHRISTtler!

Man those cars were junk. One thing I remember about the Neon is seeing many with the paint peeling off.
@ronsmith43258 жыл бұрын
+Justin Pino that was common for all Chrysler models throughout the late 80s and early 90s. Even GM had the same issue. I remember reading something about the wrong kind of primer being used...

It’s a shitter thats why there are none left on the road now , come on Tiff it’s dog shit .

Okay...the Neon was basically the worst car ever. I can't believe this guy was positive about it.

The Cirrus looks alot better, shame the UK never got some of the better American cars. The LHS would have easily sold in the UK, even if the mechanicals are a bit primative. Sadly they just gave us RHD versions of the shit cars (STS, Neon, etc.). Atleast the Voyager was alright, if you like that kinda car.

R33Racer at least you can get 300C.
@R33Racer9 жыл бұрын
eGORKAuk Meh, it's not that good TBH. The Mustang will be available in the UK soon though. If rumors are to believed, GM might try and rival it.

R33Racer you seen the new 300c. Man its nice.
@R33Racer9 жыл бұрын
turshin Yeah it looks like a weird cross between an Audi and a Bentley (not really in a good way). Plus they still got some way to go to match the build quality of the Germans. In a way I kind of prefer the older one, it looked more original. After all, when you buy an American car, don't you want it to not look like it's trying to be Euro?

Everyone likes to talk shit about the Neon and Cirrus because the only ones you see today are in rough shape (as are most cars that old), but how many other cars from the mid-90s do you still see on the road? I'd say Chryslers are the second most common next to Accords/Civics.
@Sn1k3rS9 жыл бұрын
Still tons of BMWs
@SoloDallasII9 жыл бұрын
eGORKAuk Because their fans are willing to sink crazy amount of money into keeping them running, let's be honest. People put as little money as possible into cars like the Cirrus and they run despite serious neglect.
@Sn1k3rS9 жыл бұрын
Mike utubesux true that, even cars like Corsa and Fiesta or Focus, people don't even want to spend money on those cars to fix them. I never understood people who actually buy those little cars. Economical? Maybe, not a lot though. Comfort? Hell no.
@SoloDallasII9 жыл бұрын
eGORKAuk I drive a Focus and it's plenty comfortable for what it is. But it's really a matter of money for most people. Who wouldn't want a luxury car if they could afford it? Most people can't, so a Focus is cheaper and more economical (less money spent of gas). It's a logical decision. Most people don't have the luxury to buy whatever they really want.

Mike utubesux Completely agree with you. My 99 Plymouth breeze has 115,000 miles and it still starts every single time I turn the switch and takes me anywhere with gas to spare. Although mine isn’t as rough as shape as most, it’s actually in great shape, it shows how solid the engine is. A lot of people online say they have tons of issues with theirs but I have never had any issues out of mine. Since I have the 2.4l version with 150hp it’s like driving a Miata that’s has room for five people in it. Honda’s are good cars as well. Yes old ones are rust buckets and are cheap cars but they still keep on trucking along if they’ve been taken care of.

I smiled when Tiff started talking about the Cirrus; mainly because I own the Cirrus's Inexpensive cousin, the Plymouth Breeze.
@dannycheek81186 жыл бұрын
digitalrailroader me too. It starts every time and is a solid motor. Fun fact the dohc was designed with input from the Chrysler Lamborghini f1 team.

"Chrysler Returns To The UK"----I'm sorry, Britain....you didn't deserve that. The Neon had many of the right design elements for the time, but it's quality was horrendous.

the JAs are more numerous than you think; and my own Breeze made it to over 226K before the 2.0L "Neon" engine that Powered it met its untimely end by my own foot.

I resigned at the point of "High quality interior". Just another job, ain't it. My 1999 Jetta3 (Vento) has higher quality interior withstanding the test of time and my age better than my friends dad's Neon (Prestine).
@BigWheel.5 жыл бұрын
The neon was not only cheaper than the Metra but these are also mid 90s models.

Its funny since the quality was so bad they are practically extinct.

@Doktor Hachi Roku It had higher quality than anything built in the UK during the 1990's. That's not saying much, though.
