Happy Father's Day boys. It's been years! since I've been able to walk through a wrecking yard. Used to get way too excited doing that. SO!!!!! many cool sights to see. And, I saw a C40 needing a Cummins and a Spicer 7 speed out of a Ford service truck. I don't own a wrecking yard, but for some weird reason, I ised to have S10 and S15 parts everywhere! A buddy needed a place to work on his trucks, I had a shop, heavy tools and a bigger welder. Had a "few" beers, a bunch of laughs, and so many memories. The parts are gone, the trucks are gone, he's gone. Passed away too young. But, I still got the memories. Oh and scars. Plenty of scars. Work safe people!

The Farmalls brought back some fond memories. My uncle had an H that he bought new and used for his field tractor for years. Eventually he started buying John Deere’s and the Farmall become his irrigation pipe trailer puller. He retired in the late 1980s and had a large farm auction. He kept the H and did a restoration on it. He passed away in 2009 and that H is still parked in his machinery shed. His daughter is 76 and she leases the farm ground and the farm house sits there empty.

Great Video, JT. Happy Father’s Day. That was an old Threasher, not sure what brand. I actually got to run one of those years ago when I was in high school, 1994. The guy I worked for had a field day, where we would run all types of old farm machinery, like a live museum. It was pretty cool. Thanks for the videos

Hey JT, that is a great way to spend Father's Day. Those of us of a certain age, always had our special junk yard, not auto salvage facility, where our daily driver got the parts needed to keep her on the road. No keys for the new car on graduation day for us! My first car was a 1964 Dodge former Wisconsin State Patrol car. Got me in all sorts of trouble!😢 Larry's auto salvage, Butler Wisconsin. Not many of those old rambling yards anymore. I'm sitting in my 1998 24 valve Cummins Dodge 3500. She's never seen a winter. On these nice early mornings before anyone else is up I'll pick one of the fleet and take a little drive. I've got a 64 F100, 74 CJ 7 , 79 CJ 7, 98 3500, 02 S10 Crew Cab and I'm working on my 65 F350 dump truck. It's great being retired. Or is it just tired😮 Thanks

what a fun trip. better than a tractor show, since you can find implements and attachments, too! (shiny paint is great, but they all look the same restored to delivery condition). people are funny--shiny paint nice tractor is scrapped while pile of rust is given a full restoration...If everything was as "cool" as a camaro or mustang, all you need is an A pillar and VIN and half a million dollars and you're a hero for rebuilding from the ground up😂😮

Excellent video JT :) , Brain :) , Happy Father's Day also all men on You Tube Channel and yes JT lots those vechiles saw in Junk Yard I grew up with in my childhood years too! That 1978 to 1980 blue Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS my older brother David had Black , Gold Tan in paint plus interior too he had the 4.4 litre 267 V8 4 barrel carb, Turbo 350 Transmission Automatic in 3 speed with 377 posi rear gears and Sunroof, all options could get back then he got in 1988 and sold 1995 ! I like car but small gauges for Fuel , Temperatures , Volt, Oil pressure did not impress me them ! But like Clock in them Lol and cool cars! ! Also last one show was Threashing Machine not combine and not sure made that because were so many companies made them from 1850 to 1950's !

JT the second JD B is ether a 1951 or 1952 the last two years the were made . The combine is a thrashing machine it’s used in a stationary position powered by a flat belt by ether a steam engine or tractor. On top of the machine there’s a one bushel hopper that dumps into an auger so you can tell how many bushel’s of grain was threshed out for the day. You have to bring the grain to the threshing machine. On the back end is blower which blower the straw into a pile a big pile.

Threshing machine looks McCormick Deering. Blower on rear would bliw straw into huge straw pile. Machine was set up to be stationary with a long flat belt going to a team engine or gas tractor. Grain would flow into farm wagon then put into bins in grainary building. AL B.

Interesting. Just to inform you, Andrew Meikle who came from my village in Scotland invented the threshing mill way back in 1700,s. He was also friends with Rennie who was famous for some of his great buildings. Both grew up working in Meikles father's blacksmiths shop. Be such a shame leaving that Massey there, was it the 35? That truck would be good for collecting seeds, fertilizer and odds and sodds, not to mention towing.. Love your videos mate, cheers

HA! A Ferguson TO 35. I've done way too many laps around the hay field on one of those. A neat trick for a farm kid was to stick it in 1st low range and let it creep at 1/4 mph. jump off and pick rocks. It's a very handy little tractor to have around the farm. There is also a diesel option available which I imagine sipped fuel at a very slow rate.

On that C40, skip ... Get a 392 I-H Loadstar 1600 (or 1700) with a flip up front end. Walk right up to the engine and work on it. Dizzy in the front - easy peazy. That Chebie has rust where you don't need it. They put a used rear end under it to haul more, so look for frame cracks. etc. 🙃

@@jtsbarnngrill6873 As I recall, it's a grain truck. Find another for your flatbed. Some real sweethearts out there. I've been cruising Search Tempest for "1974 International" and "Loadstar" and come across some very clean trucks. Lotta junk too, but in amongst them are super clean low mile trucks for cheap 😁

It's a threshing machine. Not sure on the make as they were all pretty close to the same. Farmers used a binder to make sheaves at harvest time and then the sheaves were brought to the (stationary) threshing machine to be threshed. The attachment off the rear would blow the straw and chaff into stacks. Belt pulley powered, obviously.
