Happy Father's Day boys. It's been years! since I've been able to walk through a wrecking yard. Used to get way too excited doing that. SO!!!!! many cool sights to see. And, I saw a C40 needing a Cummins and a Spicer 7 speed out of a Ford service truck. I don't own a wrecking yard, but for some weird reason, I ised to have S10 and S15 parts everywhere! A buddy needed a place to work on his trucks, I had a shop, heavy tools and a bigger welder. Had a "few" beers, a bunch of laughs, and so many memories. The parts are gone, the trucks are gone, he's gone. Passed away too young. But, I still got the memories. Oh and scars. Plenty of scars. Work safe people!

The Farmalls brought back some fond memories. My uncle had an H that he bought new and used for his field tractor for years. Eventually he started buying John Deere’s and the Farmall become his irrigation pipe trailer puller. He retired in the late 1980s and had a large farm auction. He kept the H and did a restoration on it. He passed away in 2009 and that H is still parked in his machinery shed. His daughter is 76 and she leases the farm ground and the farm house sits there empty.

Hey JT, that is a great way to spend Father's Day. Those of us of a certain age, always had our special junk yard, not auto salvage facility, where our daily driver got the parts needed to keep her on the road. No keys for the new car on graduation day for us! My first car was a 1964 Dodge former Wisconsin State Patrol car. Got me in all sorts of trouble!😢 Larry's auto salvage, Butler Wisconsin. Not many of those old rambling yards anymore. I'm sitting in my 1998 24 valve Cummins Dodge 3500. She's never seen a winter. On these nice early mornings before anyone else is up I'll pick one of the fleet and take a little drive. I've got a 64 F100, 74 CJ 7 , 79 CJ 7, 98 3500, 02 S10 Crew Cab and I'm working on my 65 F350 dump truck. It's great being retired. Or is it just tired😮 Thanks

JT the second JD B is ether a 1951 or 1952 the last two years the were made . The combine is a thrashing machine it’s used in a stationary position powered by a flat belt by ether a steam engine or tractor. On top of the machine there’s a one bushel hopper that dumps into an auger so you can tell how many bushel’s of grain was threshed out for the day. You have to bring the grain to the threshing machine. On the back end is blower which blower the straw into a pile a big pile.

HA! A Ferguson TO 35. I've done way too many laps around the hay field on one of those. A neat trick for a farm kid was to stick it in 1st low range and let it creep at 1/4 mph. jump off and pick rocks. It's a very handy little tractor to have around the farm. There is also a diesel option available which I imagine sipped fuel at a very slow rate.

It's a threshing machine. Not sure on the make as they were all pretty close to the same. Farmers used a binder to make sheaves at harvest time and then the sheaves were brought to the (stationary) threshing machine to be threshed. The attachment off the rear would blow the straw and chaff into stacks. Belt pulley powered, obviously.
