It's hard to rot out a diesel engine; the fuel is so thick that it's practically engine oil. It preserves the bearings and repels leaking water better than gasoline. Long as the water doesn't freeze and crack the block, the years of idleness mean very little.

To all environmentalists concerned: Why don't you environmentalists put pressure on your governments to set aside a special fund for the recall of smoke belching vehicles and replacing them with more efficient ones? The governments can address that issue at the United Nations when next they meet. Please show some interest and take action now in preserving our environment. We have to save our environment at all costs everyone!!!!

All those old smoke belching tractors should be recalled to their place of manufacture and special work should be done to cut down drastically the amount of smoke and other emissions coming from them when their engines are on.There are some other vehicles like diesel trucks and other smoke belching vehicles that should be recalled and worked on to cut down the amount of emissions coming from them.As you know that's BAD for the environment.

Michael Gopaul Why change when it runs perfectly fine? All these old tractors aren't regulated because they are so old, there for the company's won't do nothing with them. Plus, some of these models, companies don't even make parts for. I'm a graduated Diesel Tech student. I've worked on more diesel motors than you've ever seen.
