I think it's probably because the original fandom like their unique concept with Urban Electro Genre and their lyrics which has social message to teenagers from their view of point. That was their original concept. Then "Baaam" Pledis suddenly came up with Ballad song for them. About love. It was like they turned completely on the opposite direction of their original concept (?) I'm not sure. But truthfully speaking I also love Hello dan Good Bye Bye.

Thank you for this video. A fan before It has made me realise the hardship they have been through in the last five years. They were so young when they debted but that song and MV just wow! Plus a message behind it as well! I still do not understand why they did not make it big time even with bad management. They produced so many great songs! I guess fans can be fickle as the songs that did not do well when released are now topping the music charts. Thank goodness for Produce 101for which at first I had my doubt Nu'est have gained popularity and so much more. Growing love and support from new fans as well as old ones like me. I often see coments on videos like: "I listened to FACE but wow I had no idear they still was around..." and than those people seperate in two types: type 1) comenting : "And I really like their songs now... Why did I forgot about them?" and than never listens to NU'EST again... type 2) coments: "And now I know why I never liked them..." and than stopes listening to them anymore... -.- this is so sad... and there are even people like: "Is this group new? I really like their songs?" and later they be like: "OH WHAT? I had no idear that they exist since 2012.... and I am a person who knows mostly all K-Pop acts who debuted since 2007..." and that is sad too... I was a fan of NU'EST even before they debuted, because a girl asked on a website (an German Q&A-website) if anyone had an idea which similar English popsong she was searching for, as she posted the trailer of NU'EST's debut but I had no idea and just wrote her: "Wow thanks for that video. I think I will listen to this group when they finaly oneday debute..." and at the same time I was a member of a German website where someone opend a topic at the same day, as NU'EST had their debut and she asked about NU'EST and within just 7 days this topic had more than 500 coments from more than 300 different people from Germany. Later they opend a "fan-club"-topic on this website for NU'EST and within just the first 3 months that NU'EST existed this topic was joined by more than 1,200 German people and the topic had more than 5,000 coments in less than 2 months... and so I thought NU'EST could become international famouse, because as EXO debuted and the same websiite opend a fanclub-topic about EXO only 300 people joined that topic in the first 3 months and just 100 coments apppeard in that topic and so I thought NU'EST was bigger than EXO at that time, but nope... it wasn't like... hm... People really forgot about NU'EST htna and that not only in Germany. I know as NU'EST was quit new and a German teenager-magazine wrote about them (in an extremly nice way, even many Germans who read the magazine know that they mostly wrote bullshit about Japanese/Korean music, to make shity people who like German/American music feel better -.-) and they even had a poster in this magazine with NU'EST in it, but than I never heard of them again, just saw their videos on KZbin... people forgot about them more and more... And Pledis... at that time the last singles of Afterschool came out and than they took a bigger focus on Orange Caramel, cause Orange Caramel was the most famouse group of Pledis at that time and than they forgot about NU'EST, cause their focus was just on Orange Caramel and than they debuted Seventeen and hyped them too much, so no wonder why a lot of people who know about Pledis only be like "I liked Orance Caramel and Afterschool. I think they only have Seventeen now..." -.- They even forgot about other groups who was or are there... I don't even know anyone who knows Hello Venus and their debut was extremly good too and for example on older acts who arn't anymore there, people be like: "Who the hell is/was Son Dambi? I never heard of, even if I am listening to KPop since more than 10 years... blah blah" and this is kinda sad... (Oh and Son Dambi was extremly famouse back than as he was part of Pledis...)

i had such a hard time watching this because i randomly found this on a random comment section on a random site (no joke) because back in the day, i was such a hardcore fan... i remember when nuest came to my country for a showcase (sleep talking era) i was in the front row, and that was the moment that i fell 100% for minhyun. not that i didn't like him before, but seeing him up close was so surreal. i gave him a LOVE beanie through the staff and the next day, during a schedule they had at a restaurant (which i went) i saw baekho wearing it 😂 but what really made me believe that min hyun is an angel was when we dined at the restaurant, it was a buffet so we had many opportunities to interact while taking food, and when we were leaving i taped his shoulder and he turned around, giving me the cutest inquisitive look and i passed him a present, to which he said thank you with the widest slime. i'm now 21, this happened when i was 17, and now thinking back, i don't regret all the money i've spent on their albums and concerts, and even though im no longer a "kpop fan" i will always support ㄴㅇㅅㅌ

I hate to admit that partly, it was the fandom's choice that most of Nu'Est's comebacks ever since Face and Action didn't became popular. Come on, no matter what genre they had, the fans should always appreciate and support them. Even if they didn't live up to expectations, as a fan, we should be happy for them, besides I personally love all of their songs even the "Sandy", "Not Over You", "Fine Girl" and "Storybook" that does not follow the established concept of Nu'Est. These videos make them more versatile, the "Hello" MV showed that they have a potential when it comes to acting, the "Sleeptalking" MV shows their quirky and fun side. If only I had the money to buy their albums, I would. But the best thing that I can do is to appreciate and support them which LO/\Es are supposed to do...:) Thank you for this wonderful video!!

no you are wrong. Pledis was broke, theres only so much a group can do with ZERO permotion. Pledis boss made beef with MNET again, blacklisting Nu'est and afterschool- MNET run MAMA awards and most of Kpop so this deeply hurt Nu'est. There comebacks where far apart. When they made nu'est M and send them to China it failed, and adding a new member for nu'est M who quickly left as killed the fandom. When they were sent to Japan for 2 years with zero updates for korean and int fans, pretty much more than half the fandom left- i dont blame fans for leaving when they have zero updates on their group who arent promoting for 2 yrs. So YES, it was 100% Pledis fault, its like Pledis Boss wanted them to die on purpose, even now, he acts like they dont exist- getting no updates on Nu'est anniversay, updates when a member is injured, or any sort of 2016 promotion what so ever

I'd heard of Nu'est from just being a general kpop fan but I didn't really take much notice of them (apart from when i heard overcome which is a total bop omg) until I saw them on produce 101 and i literally cried because of how sorry I felt for them and I was like RIGHT I AM JOINING THIS FANDOM AND WE ARE GOING TO SAVE NU'EST and now I really want to know how i can support them. someone needs to make baekho understand that he looks amazing (I think he is the most handsome guy in the whole kpop industry, It's my opinion and I know not everyone is gonna agree.) he shouldn't lose weight or try to change anything, he is perfect. I remember when I first somehow stumbled upon "face" I couldn't stop looking him up because he looked so handsome and manly. I did start to follow them after that and I never regret it, those guys where always in my "top 5 best and favorite kpop groups of ALL time" alongside with Tvxq Exo Shine and Btob. (suju is 6th 😄). thank you for making Nu'Est 101 for newbie like me. I knew Nu'est when I hosted the Kwave Radio Show in one of radio station in my hometown. But I barely heard about them after "Hello" single. And suddenly they came on Produce 101 season 2. I hope after the finale, Baek Ho, Minky and Jonghyun will appear in variety show. Minki will be match with Heechul, Baekho should appear in Mukbang Variety Show and Jonghyun probably in talk show. They have good talent but less lucky. That's it. Pledis got them wrong after "Hello". They should stick to the first concept after the fanbase is solid then they can to change the concept a little bit. Their english is good. maybe because Aron taught them. They pronouce it well.

NU'EST fans don't lose hope! I'm sure they'll have their chance to shine. It's never too late. Just as an example, Arashi, one of Japan's top idols (current top, lol) also had their share of struggles. Like NU'EST, their debut was well received but the following releases were not. Sales declined and the public slowly lost interest. Concert DVDs and PVs were shoved and releases were halted. Their younger labelmates were more liked and performed their concerts in bigger venues. Despite all of that, they continued to work hard, trained themselves, gained skills, grabbing whatever opportunity that came their way. Thankfully, their hardship did not go to waste. Within that 6 years, they were able to develop their personalities, strengthen their camaraderie, and flamed their fighting spirits. Came here after Produce 101 S2 episode 1 aired last night. I can't rlly say I'm a major fan of NU'EST, but I believe that they're a rly great & talented group (i listened to some of their songs) and they deserve more than joining this survival show. I cried when they (a 5/6 yr old debuted group) introduced themselves as "Pledis' trainees", and even received C and D grades. Kahi even cried when she saw them abt to perform. Being an army for 2 years now, watching this video made me even more of a fan of Nu'est. I've liked them a lot ever since Overcome. When I heard that they were participating in p101 I got so sad. But because of p101 i've seen their amazing personalities. Especially the one of Jonghyun. I've loved and supported BTS for some time now but after watching this video, Nu'est might be my favorite group. They need a lot more support than BTS and after seeing that even after all their hardships, having tasted fame at their debut but going down hill after every album but still staying strong and wanting to go further is just so amazing to me. I hate the fact that I come to this fandom because of Produce 101. I have known them since they were a rookie. I knew them, but I neglected them. I left them for other group who is bigger than them, in both popularity and number of members (I guess you know who I mean). This story is almost the same with mine for Nu'est. They impressed me so much with the first two songs just by their MVs, and yes i dont like the concept of Slep Talking but i still support them. The lack of promotion in Korea also affected me but I followed them through some Japanese MVs, esp Na Na Na. After that, i became a fan again with Overcome, this song really made me wonder why i forgot them in such a long time, but not many ppl like me, that's so sad, this is the 2nd best song besides Face in my opinion, I tried to vote for them in Korean charts but ... And now when they appeared on PD 101 to gain attention again I'm hurt so much in the begining but now they're doing well which will bring them and us a brighter future, I know this will be their "real" rebirth if we, LOVEs, try our best to support them this time. I was actually one of the people who felt kind of disappointed with the change of concept, but I still liked them and check in them from time to time. when I watch the members (minus Aron) in Produce101, my heart just break. I just want to thank you for creating this as it is very useful for new fans of them. Although they've faced hardship, I am glad I was able to see them and discover them on Produce 101. Original I was watching it because of another underrated group follow had members in it as well (JJCC). I saw all of these people making a huge fuss over them and I can see why. These boys are so precious and talented. I wish I could have found out about them soon, but around when they debuted and such I didn't really know much about k-pop. I was listening to just songs from random groups I found like Super Junior, Shinee, and U-kiss at the time. If only I could have seen them around then. Though it's better late than never I guess, I recently got into K-pop and I am following groups and I shall add NU'EST onto my list. I seriously felt myself crying at JR's little speech thing he did there and I hope that they find the success they deserve in Produce 101. Although it isn't much, they've gained a fan out of me~!

Hi everyone! I'm watching this video after having followed Nu'Est a bit more closely since 'Where You At' and now absolutely falling head over heels with them after their new release 'Dejavu'. Since I watched Produce 101, I knew of some of Nu'Est struggles and how they for their first 5 years never really were able to build on their initial success, but I had no idea just how bad things have been for them. I appreciate this video so much for allowing me to catch up on their journey. I can't imagine what it must have been like for them to lose touch with the Korean fanbase, and basically be outsourced to China and Japan. Kudos for the Japanese fanbase for the support, but I've head many Korean bands talk about what happens when they lose their popularity at home - and they're all pretty traumatized by it. I cried with Nu'Est when they got their 1st win this fall and hope that they only will keep climing upwards, especially now when Minhyun finally will comeback and their group will be complete again! They deserve all the success in the world.
