Hungary didn't clap anything, germany just invaded trough hungary territory which temporarily gave them the control of occupied regions. Hence why germany got everything, they got alot more war score

btw 1.15.1 is random when timelapsed, most of the time on historical on Soviets and Allies will win and D-Day will historically happen but there you had a slight chance which is small, that Axis pulls out a victory and practically forms TNO universe. (most of the time doesnt happen).

Yea no. I have over 1500 hours and i haven't gotten a historical game once. Its always either a soviet steamroller, an allied steamroller or a stalemate.

My games always start historical until the Soviet invasion. When that happens, the soviet's get absolutely destroyed, but they hold on to Stalingrad and Moscow most of the time. The soviet's are unable to push back, so the allies just naval invade France or sometimes the Netherlands to win the war.

Played historical iron man as the U.S. and the Germanys steamrolled to just before the Ural Mountains and then it was a stalemate. The fine strategist I am, I declared on the Soviets and knocked both out. 510 divisions by 1944. Played it safe, but swarmed the Germans. U.K. On iron man I just stockpiled fights and by 1940 France was still going and both German and Italian air forces were >200 planes. Still took until 1942 to push Germany back and cap them and Italy.

@ravg32 because they aimed for a much more realistic germany, yeah it was faster but the events happened in the wrong dates. u can see new germany invading poland almost exactly on the 1st of september 1939, while the old one did it in mid summer if im correct

One side suffered *far* worse. More Soviet civilians were killed than Axis soldiers. Don't equate the two, it's a massive disservice to the absolute horror unleashed by the Axis in WW2.

If I had a nickel for every game I've either played or seen where the Gotterdamerung Axis win by simply walking over the Soviets and refusing to be naval invaded while also randomly just walking into Egypt really early on, I'd have like 4 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's increasing faster than I'd like considering I really don't like playing fascist countries. Hopefully next dlc is a full revamp for the Commonwealth plus or minus some touch ups for the UK and USA if needed and maybe something like a new French Indochina or Egypt colonial nation. Just anything to make up for the fact that the Axis have basically just gotten buff after buff with the dlcs with the only buffs to the Allies being the South American nations getting good buffs(if they even join), Ethiopia being a constant thorn for Italy, and some minor equipment drain in extra resistance options or being slightly hard to capitulate(made up for by the fact that all the reworked allied nations have events that either automatically surrender them or make it much more likely for them to surrender) while the Axis got an Italy and Germany rework with a lot of strong buffs, extra factories and equipment from all the allied minor focus trees, Hungary got a lot stronger, the only major nerfs they got were having MEFO bills sometimes work as intended and crash the German economy(at least when the ai/player goes for that path which historical does), Finland often dips which whoopdedoo Germany's taking Leningrad 90% of games anyways, and notably Italy is much easier to explode but again that requires naval invasions to hold and even on freaking Sicily they never seem to do. Now it hasn't stopped me from having fun and there is confirmation bias in my judgement since I am almost always an Allies and especially Comintern player, but it feels like the player has to carry a lot of weight to beat the Germans or else the Germans always win. The Allies really need strong non-Europe closers like the Commonwealth to rebuild and reassert control after the Germans take Europe. Sorry for the rant, it was a fun video and a good way to compare the two versions, I just have increasing trauma about Gotterdamerung Germany ruining all of my less optimized silliness because I didn't end up playing Austria and delaying Anschluss by 2 years.

The Soviet tree still leaves a lot to be desired. No lend lease, pretty weak industry tree that hurts you in certain ways, a military branch that’s way too large and has too many requirements. You have to devote a 3rd of your time doing purge focuses. On top of which Germany just gets an insane amount of free industry from conquering Europe, they end up having too many men, and too much equipment compared with historical Germany. The Soviets are also really bad at making templates, and the game horribly simulates the evacuation of industry that the Soviets undertook in our timeline. Soviets end up losing like 1/2 to 2/3rd of their industry by the end of the 2nd or 3rd push, and just can’t recover.
