+Rahul Patwari I think the way you talk about this, without a, b, c, d is so much more effective than using the letters as you mention. I think this basic concept is something that so many people have a shaky foundation on, and turn off to EBM/stats as a result. Simplifiying it this way really lowers to the ability to get it. Nice work.
