Hi Rahul I am Ravi Iyer based out of Mumbai. I have the AVL Machismo 500 and AVL Thunderbird 350 ..I must say a very informative and well explained video by you. However the oils that I use are mainly Liquimoly with 10W30 in clutch which is giving me an impeccable performance. But yes Veedol is great too..In Fact for my gear oil too I use Liquimoly Gear oil and its just too amazing. Would be great to connect some day when convenient. :)

Bro as per the service manual of RE Bullet 350 Electra 5s 2009 model......the clutch oil also grade 15W40. Pls review your service manual 👍

As per manual you should use 10W30 But you can also use 20W50 15w40 is for AVL ENGINE Not for the CastIron

@@rahulsmotovlog5862 for cast iron its 10w30 recommended as per service manual too. But still RE spare parts shops is very confident of saying that 20w50 only should be used and no one will use 10w30 and those grades or not coming for RE these days. I own a 350cc 84'Model 🙂. Would still strongly recommend to go with company recommended and not mechanic or spare part dealers. Rahul Bro your thoughts...!

You refer 420ml+70ml.thanks bro Pls review my 2006 model thunderbird avl type 5 speed engine. Not only anybody told, company told this model failed. I am satisfied suden pick up very tarc high speed. Yes problem was solved, there is problem in ignition switch. Now i have broken oil pump bolt 🔩, it is not available with local shops

Vanakkam, I have a Royal Enfield Thunderbird350 AVL Kick starter version which i bought in 2005. I had given my vehicle for service and the mechanic had taken out the casing, cleaned it and put it over. I had taken the vehicle for a ride and there was a mini explosion, when i stopped the vehicle i could see smoke coming from the clutch oil chamber and the outer case had come out. Later when i came back home i saw that there had indeed been an oil leak but since i had used it for a day or two earlier it had occured in intervals and i did not notice it. The mechanic did not fit the casing properly. I had him redo it but now i am not sure how to check the oil level in the clutch case chamber. Questions: 1. Why was there a mini explosion which led to a bit of white smoke and the chamber opening after the oil had leaked in the first place? 2. How do we check if oil is present in clutch oil chamber? 3. How do i know if there is a minor leak and how much oil should i top up?

The following are the mentioned in the manual for my Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 AVL Kick Start 2005 model (This is the last model with only Kick start. RE did not have electric start at that point of time). The next model (end of 2005 or 2006) had a silver striped lining in the side panel and is the first model to produce both ES and KS in thunderbird). One more point is that for engine oil they do not recommend 20W - 50 since it would damage the engine eventually - Engine Oil Tank capacity - 2.25 litres Engine Oil Grade - SAE 20W - 40, API - SF Clutch Oil Capacity - 420ml Clutch Oil Grade - SAE 20W - 40 Gear Box Capacity - 450 ml Gear Oil Grade - EP 90 Front Fork Oil Capacity - 200ml per leg Front fork oil - SAE 10W - 30 Brake Oil Capacity - 60 ml Brake Oil Grade - DOT 3 or DOT 4 Fuel Tank Capacity - 14.45 Litres Reserve Capacity - 1.25 litres Battery - 12V - 5AH System - 12V- AC/DC Spark Plug - Mico W5DC
