Ok so is making a wall like this with sandstone recomended will it be able to hold off more than 1 explosives, because were still farming mats for higher teir stuff because we got raided

In that double fence/wall structure you still have two fence foundations against each other at the bottom against the ground which both will break with just 9 bombs even if there is a fence foundation/wall combination on top. All the fence foundations that are placed on the top will get destroyed too when the bottom fence foundation gets destroyed. Whether or not the walls on top of the destroyed fence foundation collapse depends on whether or not there is ceiling pieces connected to them.

Hey man, I just re-tested to confirm your thoughts. There is no penetration on the bottom foundation. Plus, in my test cases, the top wall usually absorbed the impact and the bottom foundation took 0 damage. If you have any more ideas, let me know, but I have to disagree with you on this one. Thanks.

Did you try with different elevations of bottom foundations? Because if you have a foundation that's deep in the ground, it gets protected byt the hit box of the terrain, but if you elevate it - as you would when building on an uneven terrain- the hit box of the foundation gets exposed and it starts to take damage. At least that's how it used to be, I haven't really done much raiding after the last patch where they changed bomb damages and hp of the doors and such.

@@filopat67 Agreed that the ground can give varying results. I just retested at varying heights, and at maximal raise, it does penetrate both foundations, but at ~3/4 to flat, it blocks the damage. So good catch man, thanks for the insight. The advice would be to keep the bottom layers low and you'll be fine.

Yea, I always look for those high rise foundations when I need to break through walls that are on foundations.

The resources would be ungodly high in order to make something this strong, but I guess when your part of a big active clan it shouldn’t be that bad but still, nice to know for making secure locations but I think I’ll stick with stacking foundation

All this is well and good and I have a very simple way of doing defenses. Time consuming and expensive but with my 30 door build it takes 300 bombs to blow into. But that’s in a small cave. I can get 70 doors on each side of the gutter and that’s 700 bombs each way. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Okay so i love these videos and i've been watching them all morning. I get home to try and attempt them and none of these are working. The corner foundations will not let me make the center placement and as soon as you place one side it gives no options to create the rest of the foundations covered with the wall fence. I'm really confused, does it have something to do with you playing on PC? That would be the only thing that'd make sense, the highlight of building placement gives no options that you have when attempting this. I was so excited to do this. Would you be able to try this on ps4 and see if there is a difference/issue?

@@oldcraig whats the foundation stacking? I already do 2 deep and it seems good but I've gotten attacked again due to doors. Any recommendations until the door option is patched? Would it just be better to have a continuous ladder of hatches then switch over to a few doors? 😭😓😓

@@hidden_fear4166 Yes, foundation stack 4+ layers deep and place door frames on all of them. Keep your doors at least one square above ground level.

Doors should never be on ground level. At least one or two squares up with increase the total number of explosives required to destroy them. So even though it's sloped, build this straight out (as if it was flat) and then fence foundation layer underneath it (if that makes sense). So they'd have to place explosives at the base of the foundation rather than at the foot of your door.

I see no 45° angles anywhere in your video. What you call "45°" is actually 60°. In fact, it is impossible to construct 45° angles in Conan Exiles. Only angles that are multiple of 30 are possible: 30°, 60°, 90° and 150°.

Look for an unofficial server that has limited raid windows. For example, no raiding during the week, and only raiding on weekends. At least that way you'll have all week to build, and then the weekend to defend.

@@oldcraig i found their base in the starting area i moved my base 5 times but they found me Last time i moved to the safarii bye the tigers and rhinos figure this area is horrid not much people here only abandon buildings built a nice base enjoyed peace for 4 days then it happened they found me high on a mountain bombed the hell out of roof killed my guards Manage to bleed kill 1 of them but got wrecked by the others lol

@@chinimon8259 Find a server with increased experience and harvesting multiplier. You'll be able to level up faster and harvest quicker. I'm not saying that everybody should play this way, but I look at it as an experience - I join a freshly wiped server, level up, get into fights, raid and get raided. And then I start all over again. So what I'm trying to say is: your enjoyment just depends on how you look at it.

I watched several of your videos but I don't see how practical these are. Let me see you build a base using these techniques. It's easy to throw stuff together in a small section but try to get all those parts to fit with each other for a real base that houses stations and people.
