Got to admit I enjoy breakfast at the Pattaya Beer Garden, although really brunch because I don't eat much typical breakfast food. Still a good place to have a coffee, a smoothie, and a snack to start the day. Cheap Charlie's on Bukhao is my 2nd favorite spot.

I would agree, the Continental is very good with themed breakfast: English, Scottish, German etc, also, it is open at 5 am

Thanks - I was happy with Hungry Hippo, I-Rovers and The Nest (Robyn Nest). Cheap Charlies is fine but if I had to choose one place it would be Hungry Hippo.

LK President Hotel has delicious breakfast/brunch for 300 baht. Highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed that breakfast tour. Nong was looking poorly so I hope she’s ok soon and not overdoing it. Some good candidates there. I’ve eaten at some of them in years gone by so it’s good to see them still going. Bake n Brew was always one of my favs not just for break fast but for all foods. Used to be very popular and often hard to get a table. Cheap Charlie’s looks like it takes some beating for the price. Trev did a chat with the owner recently since he now in Jomtien, seems a nice guy with a good story.

Yes both seem very popular, Kungs sometimes gets a hard time because of wait times, especially as everything is cooked fresh. Ive only tried Kilkenny in an evening so will have to give the breakfast there a bash 🙏🙏

Great vlog David. My favourite breakfast places are Kung's (especially their Bacon Cheese Croissant) and i-rovers. Mum on Soi 15 is also a good choice for a healthy breakfast.

yeah I-rovers knows how to cook eggs right - plus their bread is buttered quite well. I stayed @ I-Rovers upstairs for 3 weeks this year and I enjoyed it.

My favourite is Sands Café in Pratumnak. English breakfast with Cumberland sausage, and on the beach (was 241 in August). Going to try Cheap Charlie's on Jomtien Soi 5 when I return next month.

Yeah Kungs is by far one of the best for breakfast, I mostly go to Caddy Shack which has a good selection also.

David, this is good video, in fact excellent relative to your contemporaries . I would agree Bake n Brew is one of the better places in terms of quality. Perhaps individuals needs differ from one to another, I often wake up early when on vacation and the Continental fits the need, as it is a bakery and it opens at 5 am. There are theme'd meals: English, Scottish, German, etc. Quality wise, it is good but not the best. Post 8 am, the are are a lot of choices. I like that you've had include the Devonshire on Soi Lengkee, it is very good. I have tried Kung's twice which opens at 8: first visit I was rudely told they were not ready and I need to wait, 20 min later I was able to place my order, the food was OK; second time I arrived at 8 am and was told they are not open and asked to come back later. Breakfast seems to be a competitive area. For example, I would frequent Witherspoon's on Soi Buakuo but being the only person in the restaurant I am looking a 10 persons across the street looking back at me? (forget the name of that restaurant) and so I tried it, good service, quality was better and cheaper. As a suggestion, do a deep dive onto restaurants and what's them better vs other. Thanks.

My normal is Fried Rice with Chicken, but Nong mixes it up a bit, Pad Thai, or sometimes just adding bamboo shoots to the Pad Kapow, she is not a fan of chicken 🙏

Your breakfast was great value and unless the coffee was included, they didn't charge for it and it had a great crema....Bon cafe pretty good especially if the barista has skills.......The pad grapao looked lush and certainly a substantial portion.....ambiance, cleanliness and overall comfort impressed; somewhere I would definately try now you've put it on my radar........cheers

You went past the Malee on soi Lengkee, nooooo 555. The Malee for me is without a doubt the best value for money on breakfast and dinner, farang food excellent, thai food superb and staff are great. BTW the strawberry sundies are something else.

Hunger pangs opposite King's do brilliant burgers David, I don't know if you have tried them yet. The burgers were however a little bit salty to my taste buds that may have been the bacon though. I had a double patty burger with cheese and it was probably one of the best burgers (for the price) I have ever eaten..... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Went to Nickys all through covid, nice English lady that runs it. Always my first choice for Fish and Chips, Sunday roasts are pretty good too, 😊well recommend. Witherspoons further down Soi Buakhao open from 7am until 1am is pretty good for food, as well as being a sports bar!

If I am going to a restaurant in Pattaya It means Breakfast, Fish n Chips, or Burgers. ✔ ( I 💗Street food) I did not like nicky's Both Cheap Charlie's and Hungry Hippo were good But YES I found Kung's late during my stay but I ate there every day. I recommend the french stack.
