Oldest Bar in Boston - Warren Tavern, Charlestown

Before it was restored to the Warren Tavern, it was a decrepit warehouse for The Connie McCarthy Appliance store, located on Main St, at the corner of Monument Avenue. We used to play 2 man baseball, wiffleball and halfball (a local sports treat) in what was a parking lot where the townhouses now stand. Its funny how MY memories of many things in Charlestown are so different than what so many take today. Its a beautiful place now, but while it wasnt as charming then, it did create great memories.
