When I was little, my parents had a surprise or me; I was in a car with Mr Jonathan Harris aka Dr Smith, and I was speechless. Mr Harris couldn’t have been nicer, and kinder with me, and watching this brings a smile and melancholy to me. I had the Robot (B() and a Jupiter 2 (which I STILL have, in EXCELLENT condition. No, I wouldn’t sell my stuff, too many memories).

I couldn't agree with you more, even with only a few TV channels to choose from during those years, compared to hundreds of channels today, watching tv was a 1000 times better. I don't know why, it just was

@@tleav61 you're so right, back then, families watched tv together, everyone knew the show's, everyone knew the characters, and could even talk about it at school or work the next day, and the biggest part about it, to watch these shows, all of tv actually, cost nothing, free, nada, and we enjoyed them all much more than the crap that people pay a $100+ a month now, to watch tv. You can bet, the show's on tv now, no one on this planet will be reminiscing on what was on tv 50 years from now

carl evans. No doubt. Your right on the mark, Carl. I remember Dad use to like to watch Gunsmoke on Monday nights. We all gathered around to watch it. I don’t remember him liking Land of the Giants, but he liked the other ones. Star-Trek, Voyage to the bottom of the Sea. Not sure about Lost in Space though. Anyway, yeah....memorable shows that are still on T.V today.

Fantastic video of one of my favorite shows in classic TV. Bill Mumy is a Class Act and seems like a great guy. I wanted to be Will Robinson when I was a kid. Jonathan Harris still has it as dr. Smith. It's too bad they couldn't get Dick Tufeld to provide the voice for the robot. But still a great video. Love Lost in Space

One of the aspects of the ship that drew my attention and held me in awe aside from the robot was or were the stasis pods which held the entire crew individually in place during their journeys. To a young boy in the 60s seeing it for the first time it was completely mind blowing!

Same here, I must admit at the time I wish it would have stayed more sci-fi like the first few episodes of season 1, but now I love the comedy and the campiness of it. Doctor Smith throwing all the insults at the robot, makes me worry once we have artificial intelligence, they are going to cancel the re-runs because of Doctor Smith harassing the robot.

Will and Dr Smith were the show and I love that the bond between them stayed strong through out the years until the death of Jonathan, if you don't see the love and respect in these two guys then your blind, i will admit Dr smith would sometimes get me upset when I watched the show but that's because he played his part well which at the time I didn't get, but if as an actor you can get the viewers to ether love you or hate you because of the script your playing then you did your part well, thanks for the memories.

I will never forget the day or evening that is that lost in space aired for the very first time I was being punished and forced to stay in my room while my mom watched the show across the hall in her room, and I had my ear to the door, trying to hear every single word it was torture, not being able to see it. The other show that we used to talk about in school the night after was the outer limits lost in space in the outer limits were so cool back then and brought about many schoolboy conversations and lit. Our imaginations scared the shit out of us to :-)!

I watched it religiously every Sunday eve because if you missed it you missed it for good! There was no VCR's, PVR's to record shows back then so you would have to wait yrs for it to come in the form of reruns. It was yrs before I realized she was 'Brigitta von Trapp' in the 'Sound of Music'. Very cool seeing the behind the scenes props & the makings. I own a animated 10" high B9 Robot.
