Here is also a quote from a French Sergeant about Bulgarian soldiers: "Тhey were Bulgarians - bearded, scary, balck ragamuffins. I saw them with my eyes, through from afar, covered in hair, hellish eyes. Just stepped into their trenches and like from underground jumped monsters, cried out savage shouts and like rabid wolves rushed rushed straight towards us - with knives, bombs and yataghans. We were pushed back and those bogles, shouting like hellish creatures, started chasing us, shooting, throwing bombs, slaughtering whoever they catch. I fought in other battles, at Somme and at Verdun, but such a great and such furious people have not seen. God, God, France, where did you send us?" - In the diary of Sergeant Olivier Gers from French 54th Infantry Regiment.

When Vazof was invited to a veterans parade in England after the war the general in charge for the Brits at Doiran ordered the regiments that did participate to lower their flags in honor, the only foreigner they ever done that for. "Bring down the flags! Here comes general Vazov - the winner at Doiran!", and in addition he said personally to Vazov - "It is a pleasure to meet the Bulgarian delegation, as even though we were enemies, you - like us - fought not only like brave men, but also like gentlemen."

You should react to Sabaton's Shiroyama. The story it tells is so epic, and it's samurai themed so a bit out of their normal wheelhouse. Also, steel comanders is an excellent tanker anthem.

This is one of my favourite songs by Sabaton. And I have a lot of those! 😁 They're also masters of storytelling because they don't take sides. Great reaction, btw! 🤘

I have three Sabaton songs to recommend. The three songs are Sabatons - Shiroyama, Sparta and Midway, and the Music Videos I want you to use are made by "Knight SGC Archive" because there are no Music Videos by the Official Sabaton Channel. The Music Videos are made around the meaning of the song and are done very well, they have even been featured on Sabaton's Twitter account for how good they are.

Knight SGC is such a gigachad. I prefer to watch his music videos because the historical footage and synching to the beats of the song are just on point. Soldier of heaven is amazing especially, because it has so much footage from both the Alpine front and movies set there.

1917? Darn right the Brits should have learned by then.

This song could just as easily have been about the Ukraine War. Barring a few of the Lyrics all you'd have to do would be to swap out the flag colors, place-name and switch British for Russian.
