Oldschool Ruffneck Records Compilation Mix by Dj Djero.
Founded by Patrick van Kerckhoven (aka DJ Ruffneck) as a home for his own unique sound, which would later come to be known as 'artcore'. The intent was to bring breakbeat hardcore to the Netherlands, but not everyone fully understood this. Breakbeats have always played a very important part in all releases on the label and combined with tearing Juno synths and heavily distorted kick drums it has left its permanent impression on the entire hardcore scene. XSV were the financial backers, but in reality all A&R, and other duties, were handled by Patrick van Kerckhoven.

Gouwe ouwe....Jeugdsentiment vooral 1:14min Energiehal.Oud op nieuw ik was 16 jaar op het eind was het een heel gedoe bij de garderobe. I absolutely loved Ruffneck Alliance. Went to 2 events to see them ,one they no showed and the other i left near the end thinking they weren't coming on (even tho Dj Ruffneck had done a dj set) , only for them to come on last ,we had only just left but security wouldn't let us back in. I also quite liked some of the Ruffex stuff that they released in 1996. Enjoyed this set ,thanks man!
